bugs you introduced but never fixed

Last patch you 'fixed' an alleged exploit with crafting writ resource maps - your 'fix' needs fixed because if the dungeon group tool pulls a character away who is simply approaching a resource, that character loses ALL resources referred to by the map (and the map, too) on return/exit from grp dungeon.

A patch from last year - yes, 2015(may) - introduced a bug when using wayshrines in 1st-person view that switches perspective to 3rd person view without the capability to revert back short of re-logging, quitting game or jumping through another wayshrine.

I'm posting here in the vain hope you'll actually fix these - I am weary of logging repeated/multiple in-game bug-reports/feedback/submissions without any feedback, response or bug-fix. Enough is enough: either do thorough regression testing to ensure crap like this is properly caught or fix the bugs.

Thank you.

[aside: 3rd-person view makes me sick; if you don't want to support 1st-person view, fair enough - remove it and i'll go do something else with my time and money).

Additional info(cann't edit above post): with resource bug above, starting harvesting resource has same effect: pulled away with grp dungeon tool causes loss of ALL remaining resources on return.

This is coming in Dark Brotherhood

Survey reports will no longer be consumed as you approach the associated survey site. Instead, the report will be consumed when you touch a rich resource node from the associated survey site.
    • If you have a copy of the survey report in your bank but not in your inventory, the copy from your bank will be consumed.
    • Known Issue: If you have two copies of the survey report (one in your inventory and one in your bank) then both copies will be consumed as you harvest the nodes from the survey site. We are working on fixing this issue.

In addition, there are group finder changes coming in Dark Brotherhood.

Thank you, lordrichter, for your response.

The patch note you refer to does not explain what will happen when the dungeon group tool pulls a character away once they have started harvesting. It actually seems to imply such a character would lose the remaining, unharvested resources, since the map will be consumed when the first resource is gathered.

There is still the unanswered, year-old issue with wayshrines in 1st person view as noted in my original post. Also, trying to activate a wayshrine - or, indeed, any game world object, requires very careful alignment; with wayshrines you need to be intimately close to them in order to successfully activate them otherwise you get repeated 'out of range' messages. This does not occur at similar ranges in 3rd person view.

In addition and, in general, the hit-testing in 1st-person view seems skewed to 3rd person perspective: off-centre. Also: mounts have no 1st person view and this, as someone who experiences nausea in 3rd person view, really should be added/fixed.

Again, if you don't want to support 1st-person view, fair enough - remove it and I'll go do something else with my time and money).

    Thanks.

The current survey mechanics is only a band aid to stop the exploit as posted above it's being done fully with DB.

As for the shrine but I never knew about it but I experienced that the other day and now I know why!

Thanks,Turelus; shame the best that can be done on that issue is a bug-ridden patch for an exploit I knew nothing of until the patch introduced me to the patch-created bug.

Another 1st person perspective issue to add to the still, unaddressed year-old ones previously mentioned is that with mounts. Often when getting on mount in 1st-person view the whole of tamriel flashes by/through and the landscape spins uncontrollably(plane-clipping?). I vaguely recall last year this was a bug that in 3rd-person view had been corrected but, once again, 1st-person view issues have not been addressed.

Will you - zos - ever fix these bugs? They are one year + old and have been reported via the in-game bug reporter lots without any progress on your part.

Again, if you don't want to support 1st-person view, fair enough - remove it and I'll go do something else with my time and money).

    Thanks.
