Best "Soul Magic" Build

I've been thinking of making a build that focuses on maxing out the DPS for the Sould Magic Ultimate (Soul Assault Morph)

I was thinking of running "Oblivion's Foe" which double the ultimate damage ,along with Molag Kena head and shoulder set piece , and 3x Willpower accessory set
Also, running them with "Inner Light, Structured Entropy, and Dark Flare

Inner Light: Gain Major Prophecy increasing my spell critical
Structured Entropy: increased spell damage by 20%
Dark Flare: Gain Empower

Is this the best build to max out my Soul Assault DPS or No?
I seen someone teach 100K with their soul assault build before .

Pretty much every skill from the mages guild give empower so you don't need dark flares.
I've already done a kamehameha build with my templar, soul assault + Rd and is not so good imho

I really wanted this idea to work, but it doesn't.

A fun combo however would be to use Rune Cage and then Soul Assault.

Maximising soul assault is just the same as maximising other magicka skills.... spell power, max magicka, & spell crit... so build around those.

TBH It's not used very much as it's actually incredibly weak....

Even if you got it to 100k then thats across 4 seconds... and you can't cast anything else in that time.

Using an ulti to do 25k DPS... you can do that without an ulti.... add in Meteor and you're doing far more DPS than soul assault can, and you're doing it for longer.

Also the Oblivions foe set is purely regen based... so apart from those 4 seconds your other skills will be relatively weak as you're getting zero dps based stat increases from the set.

The only use for a build like this I can think of is standing at the back of a group in PvP and beaming somebody from range whilst there's others in front of you so you don't need to actively engage in combat.... other than that it will be comparatively weak....

Though I guess it all depends on what part of the game you're playing... if it's solo/questing... then yep go for it... but maybe stack into spell power etc instead of oblivions foe.... it will give overall higher dps. Maybe Julianos or something like that.

Doesn't oblivion's foe ONLY boost the damage of soul trap and its morphs? I thought that was tested and confirmed a while ago.

I also try to build my sorcerer in a DoT/Soul Magic way and this i what i'm playing :
Btw i try to speak english but i'm from france and the forum there is dead

>Monster : Nerien'eth : bonus dps and low cooldown OR ilambris (if you use lightning flood it will proc)
>Body : Treasure Hunter, it has one more stat bonus than other sets, and also major prophecy (if u don't use inner light)
>Weapons & Jewels : Oblivion's Foe, it has one more stat bonus than other sets, and provide DPS for consuming trap

Skills 1 :
-Crushing shock : spam and stun, will proc crystal frag / OR / Elemental weap, sounds better but does not stun target
-Crystal Fragment : use when it procs, good dps
-EndlessFury : Our finish, with mana recovery / OR / lightning flood If we want an Aoe DoT / OR what else ?
-Daedric curse : best DoT we can have
-Consuming Trap : Here comes the soul magic, boosted by one of our set

Skills 2 :
-Streak : Must have, mobility and stun
-Hurricane : Well its Aoe damages and a good shield with Major resolve but if you prefer the other morph ...
-Critical surge : Must have if we want Major sorcery and some healings
-Hardened ward : Our shield ! or the other morph if you want to provide sustain for the group
-Dark exchange : Our heal !

Ultimates : Depends what do you prefer , i usually go with Overload / Atronach But the goal is to put Elemental storm when i'll have it and of course last but not least : soul strike !

Stats with purple body and blue jewels atm :
>>2900 dps / 50% crit / 8500 pen

-Oblivion's Foe is good to play with soul magic ... On the paper and in PVE its ok, we have good DoTs and a Aoe synergy, i do not say we can achieve all the PVE content but we can do some things
but in PVP on battleground its hard to deal with others players, the DoTs are not so powerfull
So i'm thinking to play with Detonation.

-Should i look for something like False God / because i keep an eye on the pvp
If i missed some good set tell me about it please

---oh i forgot something , about mythics items i was looking for oaekensoul ring but i definitely don't have enough space for skills

used to run a pvp build I made just to troll snipers with..turns out it wa fairly broken and I could hit tanky players for 80k of dmg ..in pvp ...had a 130k or so tool tip on SA fully buffed up...but sadly I don't think it is viable anymore..nor would I share it..because aids like that does not need to be spread lol
