Give a basic command list for Pets

There should be a very basic list of commands available for pets, like attack, retreat, defend target etc. Lack of this simple command list makes pets brain dead.

Can I request a command called 'Switch to spammable DPS skill' mode.

This would cause the pet to morph into a basic spammable lightning DPS skill.

I think there would be support for this! ;)

There is, technically. On PC, Y+left click on a target focuses your pets to attack there. Y+right click causes them to disengage and come back to the caster, where they will remain in a non combatant state.

That said, we need better control of our pets.
    PC NA AD
Gamma Fyr: Dunmer Sorcerer Stamina DPS (the Missing Sister...props to those who get the reference)
Samekh Fyr: Dunmer Nightblade Magicka DPS
Claire Le'Rouge: Breton Templar Heal/Tank (the Resplendent Bastion)
Augustus Constantine: Imperial Nightblade PvP (Blackwater Bandit)
    Shadow-of-Sundered-Star: Altmer Dragonknight Lowbie

Indeed, even LoTRO had a more complex pet control system, it had a separate actionbar just for pets with different combat stances for pets and that game came out like almost 10 years ago. ZoS should take notes, considering they're emphasising pets so much on a sorcerer, even did a whole overhaul last update, but ultimately changed nothing - they are useless.
    Sometimes, I dream about...cheese...

Dermont - v16 Pompous Altmer Sorcerer (With a very arrogant face!)
Egonieser - v16 Nord Stamina Dragonborn Wannabe
Endoly - v16 Tiny Redguard Sharpened MaceBlade
Egosalina - v16 Breton Cheesus Beam Specialist
Egowen - v16 Dunmer Whipping Expert (Riding crops eluded her)
(Yes, I had to grind all these to v16)
Akamanakh - lvl 22 Khajiit GankBlade (Inspired by Top Cat)
Targos Icewind - lvl 34 Imperial (Future) Jabplar
    (CP 830+)

    PC - EU

That would be great! Other MMOs I've played, World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2, had pet action bars (in both games, both hunter/ranger pets and necromancer minions could be controlled to a degree), and it just makes sense to me as a player.

You mean the pets we buy from the crown store or the summonable pets from the Sorc?
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

How is this not a thing already? Attack, retreat, aggressive, defensive, passive. Pretty simple commands.

Unless they are going to go for a full on pet system where you can activate pet/companion skills yourself. I would prefer a programmable AI system to handle pets or companions if we get those later.

I like FFXII gambit system more.

those commands are buggy as hell, the pets dont obey commands properly. There must be a proper pet command panel, to give players more control over summons

Change that useless keybinding "Command Pet" to affect summoned pets so if you're soloing something, you can aim a big thingie and say "tank that crap you idiot", while you clean da house.

But nooooooo, pets love to lick their masters... there... you know, right... there... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
