I think Skyrim areas are poorly designed

As I describe in the title, I think that the more you advance through the leveling areas, the more poor they look, making the Rift the most plain designed area in the Ebonheart Pact territory. I mean, look at Stonefalls or Deshaan, they have a geographical identity with a variety of beasts and animals lurking the grounds. To be just, Eastmarch is quite great looking, but just that far. The Rift looks like a straight, plain area, with merely any cliffs or elevations, sparsely woods and only a couple of beasts to fight against. Being most of the players' the favourite area from the age of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I think that everybody expected more than anything to roam these lands, but unfortunately the result was not the one expected. Of course this is just my opinion, but I thought I should express it in order to help you improve our favourite game!

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder bud as I loved my roam through ESO's version of the Skyrim , it was nice to see how the landscape evolved over the millennia.

It is hard to compare Morrowind's uniqueness to other areas. My beutiful Alien Wonderland <3

But I like the other areas of the game for what they are (except for Shadowfen, since I really dislike swamps). Morrowind areas are just so different from our IRL biomes that it feels more unique, I think.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Eastmarch had some really nice terrain in it's northern reaches, especially along the edges of the available map.

The Rift is supposed to be Skyrim's temperate wooded basin of birch trees, and I think it looks alright. It's definitely ruined by all those Bloodthorn Cultist Reachmen though, and I'm ESPECIALLY peeved that they did a kind of crap job modeling the Throat of the World. It's supposed to be this singular towering peak yet it looks like just another mountain range acting as a natural map wall.

Speaking of The Rift though, the Lion's Den public dungeon is a really pretty place. Once you get past all the nasty Covenant baddies that is.

I disagree, OP. I hated the EP lands until I got to Eastmarch. It felt like I was home. The familiar landscape and the towns that I knew were the best parts. The fact that we get to meet one of the ancestors of Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak was an added bonus.

And yes, I did play Morrowind, but I felt no connection with the land between the two games.

Nothing compares to my beloved homeland, OP.

My Chimer ancestors took the most choice area of land in all of Tamriel, and holy St. Veloth led us to the promise of the best land in the game.

The other races lands simply cannot compare to the beauty of my beloved Morrowind.

Once you accept that all other lands are inferior, your life will be much easier.

I seem to understand it more and more with every respond I get guyz. Thanks for your opinions, they're quite correct. Maybe that's not the proper part of Skyrim to suit my tastes!

The only thing that annoyed me about the EP homelands was, other than Windhelm, very little matched what was in Skyrim.

You can't walk ten feet without bumping into another one of those sabre cats. I think what the Rift is truly missing is a crazy cat lady to keep those sabre cats in line.

I actually love that part of Skyrim. The Rift and Falkreath (not in game yet) looks quite a bit where I used to live up north. It's doubly nostalgic :)

East march. Worst zone in the game. Boring story line. What, another nord civil war? Is that all they do?

Perhaps because it's 2k years before Skyrim?

Kind of not fair to compare an mmo to a singleplayer. Of course Skyrim would be be prettier and better designed. It focused on Skyrim and not the whole planet.I would say ESO has more dungeon aesthetics and variety by far.
