Physical resistance question

Hi fellow adventurers of Tamriel, I have a question for the build experts.

My build has several ways of reducing physical resistance of opponents (mark target skill, snipe skill, Night Mother 5th piece's bonus, etc) and I'm wondering if it applies to mobs and bosses in PVE or only to players in PVP.

Thanks by advance to whom has tested and metered this to enlighten me :)

It works for both, pve and pvp. In pve bosses often have about 18k resistances.

Isnt there is a difference between critical mitigation and physical mitigation though? From what I understand and have read is PvE monsters have no critical resistance meaning anything that reduces that resistance is redundant (night mothere gaze for example). Others you mentioned are great for PvE just dont try and reduce a monsters crit resist if they have none.

Yeah NPCs don't crit or have crit resistance. So impen trait and resistant cp tree are redundant in pve. Don't know of anything that reduces crit resistance.
