Q: If I have VR14 gear equipped, but do not have 140 Champion Points, what happens when this change occurs?

A: The system will ensure that you will be able to wear any armor that you have equipped under the old system.

This essentially states that gear will "level down" to the user equipping it so players in the situation above are not put out of their own equipment by the update.

Follow up Qs:

Q: If I have VR14 gear equipped, and have 210 Champion points, will that gear be leveled up to CP160 (the stated DB equipment cap)?

Q: If I have VR14 gear in the bank or my player inventory but not equipped, will it be exempt from this adjustment post DB?

The answer to your questions is probably whatever messes over the player most.

    Yeah...think I'll go with that.

Not true, the gear will not be "leveled down," you will be given enough champion points to hit 140 total and continue wearing your current gear.

No, your gear will stay at the same power level, however you will be able to equip other cp160 gear pieces.
Q: If I have VR14 gear in the bank or my player inventory but not equipped, will it be exempt from this adjustment post DB?

The gear is not adjusted, the player's champion point count is.

So the 2.5 point bonus per vet rank will make up for any shortcomings like in the first example.

Post DB my champion points will be putting me beyond my current gear if I'm VR14 with 210 CP. I would be CP 210 and can instantly wear top cap armor. Thanks I sort of had it bass ackwards.

There will be extra points awarded in the rare case that someone does not have enough CP even after the 2.5 bonus points per VR, but otherwise you have the long and short of it right now.
