Disconnects, lag and poor performance since activating Orsinium DLC

I bought and activated the Orsinium DLC on Friday and since then have had very poor performance in-game. I get randomly disconnected, there is a tremendous amount of lag, and performance overall is sluggish and poor. I notice the poor performance more when questing in the zone of Wrothgar, but have also had disconnects in Mournhold as well. From time to time it will "clear up" and seem to be OK, and I have been able to run things like pledges and other instance dungeons.

Is there any kind of issue/performance problem with the Wrothgar zone, or something that happens when you simply activate the DLC? Is this just coincidence and it's me and my internet connection? Everything else seems to be OK. I can load webpages, stream video, and play other games just fine. I've tried resetting the modem and router and this doesn't seem to make any difference. Others in the zone report issues as well.

Played for a few hours tonight without one disconnect. So doing the repair must have done the trick.
