Crafting Survey Question [Solved]

Do the surveys you get from completing crafting writs only vanish once you harvested all the materials in the given area or as soon as you reach the spot?

It was changed recently so now the survey map disappears when you get in the vicinity. If you get to the area where the materials are but cant find it and wander too far away it's possible for the materials to despawn without you finding them

Well that's a bummer, but thanks for your reply! At least some sort of notification that you reached the area would be nice since it disappears..

They changed it to address a very specific exploit, & if I remember right the change is temporary until they kill the exploit on the backend.

& that's a great idea, even if it made a little noise as it disappeared that would help.
