Well... I haven't even tried WGT and don't intend to any time soon.

I have problems using the distance taunt, seems to only work 1/3. I suck at interrupting; just struggling to get the hang of it.

OTOH one of my most high powered DPSs is an Orsimer Sorc with 2h and and dual and between Wrecking blow and Steel tornado he has no problem mopping stuff up.

As far as being kicked from the group finder, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm usually willing to give a try (or three) to anyone willing to actually communicate with me (I prefer skype, but will put up with TS or even chat).

I ran this dungeon for the first time at 400cp in vet 15 kag gear, gold 16 nirn swords weapons though.
Been healing for a year now patiently waiting for my CP to be high enough to run WGT. I had no mic and just had to listen. A couple wipes at the portals until i put radiant destruction on and thashed those evil orbs.
I got the helmet in heavy impen trait. BIS for PVP

Games need end game content. Thanks to whiners like OP, WGT is getting nerfed.

The devs should really take a look at this.
Also, vWGT is fairly easy to complete with 2 people who know what they are doing. I personally have 2 manned it just for the extra challenge, and so have others.
Beginners have the normal mode which is exactly the same as vet but easier, so why would they nerf the challenging mode? I have no idea.

95% of people who play this game don't get into the forums, so miss your leetness. They also don't have best in slot gear. They don't use TS. They maybe don't have the time available to run dungeons 20 times just to learn the mechanics. They are using group finder mainly because most of you leet players exclude them from the moment the vet dungeons become available, ie, "LF2M, must be v16, must be godlike, must have already got all the achievements to even dare to think they could run with me BS". So maybe, just maybe the developers are catering to the 95% of people who pay money to play the game the best they know how with what they have available. Seems pretty simple.

Yeah, I rarely come to the forums as well.

Not all content in games is or should be easily achievable by all people. If people don't have time to run dungeons and try to learn mechanics that is fine, but that is the entire point of dungeons, and veteran dungeons are meant to be the difficult versions. A challenge.

Clearly best in slot gear doesn't matter, because even with less than perfect gear DPS should pretty easily be able to do more than the 7k damage per second we were putting out with light attacks.

These mechanics aren't that difficult to learn, either from grouping with people who are familiar with it, or just watching some youtube videos. It definitely doesn't require doing it 20 times to figure out. No one is trailblazing the way and discovering these things for the first time anymore.

TS isn't required at all.

Some people do advertise they want experienced players only, but not all, so there are opportunities out there. I personally won't sign up to go with the groups with that stipulation because I think its a bad attitude and find it aggravating. Everyone has to learn somehow. I do however try really hard to not be the only one in the group who is familiar with it. I periodically put groups together for the sole purpose of taking one or two people who've never completed it, explaining everything as we go so it doesn't seem intimidating anymore. I know I'm not the only one willing to take new people through and not everyone in zone demands players be experienced.

I'm highly skeptical of your assumption that only 5% of the ESO population has run this dungeon multiple times successfully, but honestly don't know what the number might be; and it isn't pertinent.

For people who don't have the time, inclination, or skill to do it, there is the normal version. If they feel the normal version is too difficult still, then by all means that could be nerfed.

From all this I picked up one line that has an impact on reality.

Casuals keep mmorpgs alive. Deal with it.
Do you know what i find ridiculously easy? Every mmorpg who awards xp gold and items upon Questing.
Do you know what else I find easy? That you can run an instance protected from enemies (pvp) and get geared up, instead of grinding for mats/designs for weeks while at the same time fighting enemy guilds.

Do I get to play open world mmorpgs?
No, because casuals keep mmorpgs alive and there is no market for a proper mmorpg

1. We didn't use teamspeak

2. We didn't have BiS gear when we first cleared, and OBVIOUSLY it isn't necessary if 6.5k DPS is enough to clear.
3. The four of us have run so many new players through here for training it isn't even funny.
4. Is it sad that this was more fun than actually doing it the normal way

If it was with all new people then probably yes. Don't worry, it gets really easy really fast especially if you run it with experienced players.

Practice, my friend. It took me what, 5-6 hours my first time? And tons of failures and deaths. And we had to sub someone in because it was getting to late for one of our guys...

Now we've got a good pace on it.

??? I did White Gold Tower with my bad geared tank at lvl 27(alt) and it was a walk in the park. That was yesterday.

I mean it isnt exactly hard to understand what you need to do. Sure we did wipe a few times but we did manage to finish the dungeon.

It doesnt need any nerf.... stop asking for nerfs on dungeons my god...

Start paying attention to what's happening in the boss fights instead of paying attention at dealing the highest dmg like an idiot.

But then again in randoms the chances of that happening is really slim while in premades it's easy.

Honestly I personally feel that ZoS should release a new dungeon and make it insanely hard, that only the teams with good teamwork and pay attention in boss fights can manage to finish the dungeon and never nerf that dungeon.
