I wish that the (largely useless) snakeblood passives would have some mitigating effect on these new poisons, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.
Bear in mind that "poison damage" is not the same thing as "effect applied by a poison". So if a poison does "750 poison damage per second for 7 seconds", poison resistance will mitigate that. But I think you are far more likely to see the debuffs like "Reduce Movement Speed 50%", "Prevent Entering Stealth," "Drain Stamina," "Increase Stamina Costs by 30%", etc. Those would not be mitigated by poison resistance.
Well on the QA they said they thought it would but didn't confirm. I hope it does great things lets make it so Argonian's racials are not complete crap just rubbish.
That said they also said snake blood would factor in, which concerns me a little as I suspect all that will happen is every PvP will have to get to alchemy level 50 snake blood and then make poisons worthless.
