Best StamDK race (Poison)!

Just started playing a DK and I find that bosmer is best suited for this class due to poison and disease resistant as well as the good regen, sneak bonus and archery (poison build).

In DB, we also will gain access to poison making that is also a boon for stamDK poison build as well as the changes to stamDK skill line .( i.e. poison)

In PvP, bosmer will be a must for StamDK poison build.

So,What do you guys think?

I think its a solid choice. Only passive you wont use much it out of stealth damage unless you use bow heavy attack build.

But I also think Redguard, Orc, Imperial, are also solid choices.

Bosmer was always a good race for stam DK. I don't think that their poison resis passives give them enough of a boost to say they are the best or a must to run a stam DK, however. They are definitely a solid choice with a bit more of an incentive though.

I still prefer to run a Redguard or Imperial DK, but thats just me.

OP your logic for the resistance is the same logic people who say Argonians make the best templars in that the self boost = best choice.

I can argue that it is merely your opinion

To be frank I could care less for some poison resistance on my DK, or some self healing on my templar ( as magicka regen and max magicka is preferred by me for my Templar so I am an Altmer or Breton with that ). So too can I argue that max stamina and other buffs are preferred by me for stamina DK. In particular order: Imperial, Orc, Redguard those are my top 3 choices, then in no particular order: Bosmer, Nord, Khajiit... In other words I won't make a bosmer DK, BUT that doesn't mean you can't and you can't enjoy yours

But do not coin the word "best" if it's merely your opinion, just saying...

A bit sad to see my Dunmer DK lose the flame damage bonus with Stam morphs, but I love this change. There is not any one specific race that is the meta. Redguard, Bosmer, Khajiit, Orc, Imperial, even Nord are all viable choices, and Dunmer is still a pretty good option if you might switch back and forth between Magicka and Stamina.

If you are trying to decide which race to choose for a new Stam DK, I'd suggest to try various races on the PTS template characters and see which you enjoy more. I'm doing this and still haven't decided yet.

If you're comparing two similar builds, it may be easier to compensate for the additional 7% max magicka than it is to reach the 21% regen bonus. (for example, running food instead of drinks). No idea about PVE, though, maybe regen and stealth damage bonus are less important in dungeons and trials, but they are quite helpful in PVP.

And after May 31, the majority of enemy players you encounter will be using poisons on their weapons.

Surely class poison resists only apply to poison as a damage type and not the effect of poisons. Poison damage and poisons are two very different things.

Always ran Redguard for a stam DK personally. Only other race I'd consider, myself, would be Imperial.

Dunmer still good considering dk use lots of magick skills. Also make fights against mag dk easier

Khajiits are the strongest pure damage StamDKs. If you want balance however, then Imperials can be great too.
Bosmer however, does not get any native damage from racial passives. The poison resist hardly amounts to 1% damage mitigation which again has nothing to do with being a StamDK. As a sustain race, Redguards surpass Bosmer.
