Would definitely be up for a buff to this, as without Dawnbreaker of Smiting Magicka DKs and Magicka Sorcs are left without a cheap ultimate that is not easily countered.
Magicka DK:
Standard of Might - VERY expensive and easy to counter
Take Flight - Scales off of Mighty
Magma Shell - Expensive and doesn't really do damage
Magicka Sorc:
Suppression Field - Expensive and rather ineffective vs stamina builds
Storm Atronach - Expensive and easy to counter
Overload - Cheap, but extremely easy to counter, buggy, and comparatively hard to land
Soul Assault - Cheap, but very easy to counter
Ice Comet - Expensive, easy to counter
Compared to Dawnbreaker of Smiting, which has great upfront damage instantly + a powerful DoT after, which also knocks down your enemy, Soul Assault is very underwhelming, even though they have the same cost.
If the snare on the user was removed, the initial damage tick got bonus damage, and it was not cloakable, I could see it being more viable, and still not on the same tier as Dawnbreaker of Smiting.

I lol so hard each time somebody uses Soul Strike. A single cast of crushing shock is enough, to waste one's precious ultimate points.
Okay, so, because you won't have max possible damage on some ultimates, or the others you consider using are mechanically possible to evade or require way more skill to use.. you want one of the cheapest ultimates, with one of the highest total damage output (even though it's a 4 seconds dot) to be an instant kill ? (also how the fluff is Meter 'easy to counter'?)

This mag sorc is going to miss Dawnbreaker
I can get behind not letting people cloak out of it but not allowing interrupts on a ranged snaring channelled ability that cannot be dodge rolled is pretty insane. It would literally mean that there is no counter to it except for blocking.... And blocking is kinda restricted to SnB builds that are built for blocking... Since blocking got nerfed into the ground with 0 stam regen and increased cost....

Didn't blocking get the *** buffed out of it with DB update? Basically costs nothing to block... Or has ther been another change I missed
