Seeing the Nix hound size thread I thought I'd bring up more ridiculous inaccuracies from the crown store.
Right side crown store "Naryu's Assassin's Armor", left side her actual armor. Or more specifically the actual hood of the armor.
Why?!
They just one day changed the crown store version for no reason and now try to sell this miserable thing for several years, also ignoring several threads like this one. Don't you want to sell your products, Zeni? This is not how to do it.

They didn't change it, it was like that since the Crown Store came out. Doesn't make me any less angry about it, but still

As opposed to a breton light armor helmet as in the "original" armor?

The main reason of this change is that it was previously possible to make a character look exactly like Naryu down to the smallest detail. They had to avoid that as Naryu requires to be an unique NPC.

What are you talking about? Its not like players would get confused between an NPC and a Player.

But my mersions would be broken! Too many Naryu players running around means Naryu isnt Naryu and when Naryu isn't Naryu then Naryu can't be in the game.

You can do this with loads of NPC that are supposed to be unique. They should've thought of this before marketing two costumes based on existing NPCs. It nullifies the whole purpose of it. And it's not like people will come up to you for quests nor is everyone a dark elf. But why do we have to look so stupid? But my mersions would be broken! Yeah... meanwhile demonic vampires hammer away at their crafting stations and every player owns some sort of shadowmere mount, etc, etc. I'm fairly certain this will *not* be an issue whatsoever.

Nope, it is not possible to make a character exactly like an unique NPC. Actually all unique NPCs have their own costume code. (The items IDs are there in UESP log)

Those are minuscule texture edits at best sometimes. Why change the entire headpiece then?
You're kind of dodging the issue here. The crown store description is lying to people. Besides, they can just take off the hood all together and you'll have the exact same (non-)issue of people being able to look like her.FLuFFyxMuFFiN wrote: »Twas not a serious post. Oh... sorry.
