Do you want the activity finder to prompt you to join showing the specific activity and role prior to grouping you? ( there is a 15 min cool down being added so I think this is necessary, do you?)

    -Grouping Tool Improvements

The Grouping Tool has undergone additional improvements for this update. We’ve taken steps to address disruptive behavior with this tool, such as leaving a group as soon as the dungeon starts or abusing the power of group leader by removing friendly players.
You can now initiate a Ready Check to ask your group if everyone is ready (no need to jump up and down anymore!)

-A Ready Check will pass if everyone responds yes, fail if someone says no, and fail if it times out. The option to initiate a Ready Check is present in the Group Menu.
You can type /readycheck into chat to initiate a check.

-Groups can vote to kick party members

In order to initiate a vote, the option can be found by right clicking a player character’s name in the group UI.
A vote to kick ultimately requires a majority vote and can be initiated by anyone in the group. A 4-player group thus requires 3 votes to remove someone.
Leaders of groups formed through the Grouping Tool can no longer disband the group or remove other group members.

-Added a 15-minute cooldown to re-queueing once you have successfully formed a group.
Completing the activity you queued for will reset the timer. If you join a group in progress and kill the final boss 4 minutes later, your timer clears. You don’t then have to wait another 11 minutes.

The cooldown will be displayed in the group UI at the bottom when trying to queue for a dungeon.
This is all part of an ongoing process to continue to improve the Grouping Tool – look for additional improvements in future updates!

    1. Only pick roles you are willing to do.
    2. Don't queue for a random dungeon unless you are willing to run any dungeon.

It seems obvious but it's been overlooked that in improving the activity finder, an important part of you're penalized for 15 mins is to join under your intentions.

    Concerns:

    -ppl being AFK
-ppl leaving and then having a 15 min penalty which impacts availability overall
-ppl being grouped for the wrong role cause they have more than one chosen
-the activity may determine their role and decision.

All in all it just seems without this, the tool still has opportunities for improvement

@wayfarerx I'd rather only those at the keyboard or on their controller be grouped tho first and foremost. That's #1.

On PC there is a notification of role when going into a 4 man dungeon using GF. It's been there since the random GF started.

Additionally, it's based on the roles players chose before starting and with DB players are able to vote offenders out.

I'd be fine with some kind of ready check before forming the group, but if you let people opt out of the chosen dungeon or role when a group is formed you're not really doing a random dungeon anymore and don't deserve the reward.

It already prompts with dungeon name and role. It then gives you 60sec to accept before it auto travels you. What are you trying to add to this?

The only extra thing I would like is an exclude option. Sometimes I just don't feel like pugging vCoA

Agreed. Adding a "prompt" before putting someone in the group would needlessly clog the process, which can already be slow. So the group finder will "prompt" someone with their role. Said player will not be added to the group until they agree to the prompt, but the group can't get anyone else until said player accepts or declines. So, the group is in limbo while said player is afk. Sounds great OP. Let's all make the group finder worse.

Have you played WoW and if so, do you remeber the ready pop-up?
That's what I mean. You don't get to choose a role but it tells you the role and the dungeon and you would accept that you're ready to join the group

I like the current system - it discourages people to queue for random dungeon to get the extra rewards but then declining when something they don't want to do pops out...

    @NewBlacksmurf

I played WoW back in the vanilla/BC days, so it's been quite awhile. Like I said I think that confirming all the warm bodies are present is fine but allowing people to queue for a random dungeon and then bail without consequence if they don't get a dungeon or role they like is toxic to the grouping tool.

    Take this scenario:
    1. Tank queues for ICP.
    2. Two other DPS and a healer queue for a random.
    3. The "ready check" dialog pops up and tells everyone that ICP is the dungeon.
    4. The DPS and healer say "Oh hell no I'm not pugging ICP" and promptly reject the group.
    5. Said DPS and healer, without the 15 minute penalty, immediately requeue.
    6. GOTO 3, ad infinium.
    7. Poor tank wonders why the LFG tool hates him, promptly posts rage thread on the forums.

So I guess I would be fine with your idea assuming that it did not let you get around the 15 minute penalty for leaving a group.

Well, you can manually select every dungeon that you would like to do. So just go to the other tab and select every dungeon but CoA and you will get to any other dungeon. Of course you won't get the random reward, but your search is not completely random, so that's fair.

On topic: Just don't queue for dungeons or roles that you can't fullfill and you'll be fine.
