Stam templars viable?

I've been wanting to make one but...something is preventing me. Are they even strong to hold their own?

    Absolutely.

    They're in a real good place. With burning light changes and dawnbreaker being physical next patch, they'll get better.

    I have 4k weapon damage, 2100 regen (2600 on back bar with werewolf), 31k stam, 22k health in pvp. You don't use much magica so no need for max magica or magica regen food/Drink. The Orsinium max health and stam regen is awesome.

    You have a spammable class skill that scales off stam that increases weapon crit and can proc extra damage, a passive that increases weapon damage, a ranged skill that scales with stam, a purify, potentially unlimited stam from repentance, Major mending and soon a physical ult.

    Only slight downside is you might feel the need to run bow in pvp as you don't get major expedition otherwise.

    Go make one, they're really good :)

    Thank you so much for the reply! I shall make one :D I feel like Imperial would be a great choice with their Red Diamond passive along with jabs.

    Which is this? I didn't see it mentioned in the patch notes.

    Edit: my bad thought you ment Templar physical ult, you mean Dawnbreaker.

    stamplar is probably now better than dk for 1vX now, the survivability is just over top right now on stamplar. with dawnbreaker being physical u can pull off the all mighty wombo combo that dk could only pull off with wrecking blow (now dizzying swing) into leap and execute. with templar it will just be dizz swing into dawnbreaker an execute and u will be one shotting people.
