Found Legendary Treasure with no value

as title says, I found golden treasure with 0 value which it said " place this in the library at the thieve's den so u will be remembered" something like that.. and that's what I did, I placed it there in the behind the glass in the showcase, then it disappeared .. anyone has any idea what good is golden treasure?

It may have been one of the items on Kit's Hit List. If you find all of them you earn a special collectible and the title of Master Thief for your character. The hit list is on the table in the middle of the room where the display cases are.
