Why are monster set shoulders only 1 piece?

At first I thought its be cause players need to notice the set in pvp and fight according to it. But then again wouldnt having them on both shoulders make them more noticeable ? Since they all look pretty unique anyway.

    I don't use monster sets because of that

    Monster shoulders are huge, they would look bad having both, in my opinion. I also like the one-sided look.

    Dont know how much work it is but...cant they just slightly adjust the shoulders size so that they can look normal ? I just think it would look aesthetic that way

    It's to set them apart even more. It also fits thematically with the idea of The Undaunted as these ramshackle lunatics with no survival instincts. They kill something big and scary, their first thought is, "hey, can I rip a piece off and wear it as a trophy?" Not, "would this make good armor?" Or even, "what the hell is wrong with me?" Just, "oooh, shiny."

    @starkerealm is spot on.

    You can also tell from the Mercenary aka Undaunted motif that the chest armors match well with a single shoulder piece. The Mercenary style pauldrons themselves only equip on one shoulder.

    For reference, medium undaunted armor.

    I think some of them look better as a single shoulder, and some look better as both. Molag Kena for example, I think looks amazing on one shoulder and would be too much on two (at least before they *** up the positioning, it is super ugly now). Bloodspawn especially would look really strange on two shoulders, and is GREAT on one (one of my favorite shoulders, provided the rest of the armor complements the style). On the other hand, I've always thought Engine Guardian and Neri would look better on two (though then Neri shoulders would be identical to Lich shoulders).

    Guess it just comes down to personal preference... But PLEASE fix the Molag Kena positioning. I like having my epaulet ON my shoulder, not kilometers above it.
