1h shield skill cc'ing through block

I was dueling a 1h shield dk and he used animation cancel invasion, heroic slash, reverb bash, bash combo all within 1 second.

Worst yet, it stunned me through my block at the start of the fight with full stamina.

Does invasion or reverb bash ignore block or was this guy hacking?

Rever bash causes disorientation, I believe like roots it's a soft cc that goes through block also causing you to loose block, then heroic and invasion both stun
