This one think Razum-dar may be one of Rajhin's Shadows, yes?

Up to this point, with a terminal destination fixed, he is both alive and dead. Therefore I declare that Razum-dar is in fact, Schrödinger's cat.
Developers? Is this a hidden joke/reference?
It's Razum-dar, he's the most badass cat there is. No way in hell would he let himself be tricked and killed by a simple ritual. He'd definitely have found a way out if you decide to let him die. Or even if he did die, he'd probably trick a Daedra in the underworld and win his life back. This cat always has a trick up his sleeves. No prison can hold him, least of all the prison of the afterlife.
He escapes even if you destroy the crown.
Later, in the temple of Two Moons I believe, you can talk to him and he will explain that he escaped but couldn't save any of the other Eyes that were with him.
There isn't a quest mark pointing to him though, so you have to look around the place, and if you miss him this time he won't explain it again the next time you see him.
The possibility to get Raz killed never existed in this game.

Thank you for this!

IMO, they should add a quest objective ("Optional: Talk to Razum-Dar"), because the number of people who think this is a continuity mistake is pretty high.

This might be a spoiler for many and because I want to avoid more butthurt people hating on me I'll just put it in the spoiler tab.Razum-dar will be present during a delve quest in Gold Coast (DB). You could see it on the last ESO Live, where the dev was going through a solo dungeon and Raz was there, with a quest marker a top of his head. Also, to the OP. You are not correct about Raz.Raz will be alive no matter what you choose to do. Now, I can't recall what quest it was from, but I know you get to talk to him again and ask him how did he survive and he tells you he just managed to get out before it collapsed.
Gods I hate that cat...
I only let him live in hopes that someone really will use that crown against the Dominion one day; and I can't believe that anyone ever thought that he will actually die there.
