No Text on menus and blank descriptions

I just logged in for the first time on Xbox One and there is nothing but icons on skill and other menu items I do have attribute cost but nothing to tell me what the skill is. Most of the menus just bring up an empty box where I assume a description or name should be.
Is this normal or some type of lag on XB1? My first time on and I don't know what is a quirk or a problem.
It should be noted that I got the character copy back when it was available but never claimed it until now. I know the game has been through several updates since then and was wondering if this could be a bug from letting it sit for so long.

Edit: Fixed - for anyone else who may run into this sort of thing, I shut the game completely off and restarted it and the menus populated for me on the second go around. One other thing I was playing it for about ten minutes the first time and Everyone, including the NPCs, all had Offline1 for a name. As I said though it is fixed now.
