I am all pro to heavy armor moving forward to dps, instead of only tanking. What are your thoughts?

They would have to make some real changes to heavy armour to make it viable, much less prefered. As it stands right now, you're either a light armour magic user or a medium armour stama build. Anyone in heavy armour now is using it for role playing or a very specific niche build.

Personally I'd like to see heavy armour become useful again.

I'm using heavy armor and I don't have a particularly niche build.

I wear a mix of heavy and med. I hope DB makes heavy more DPS viable. I understand the need for tanks to feel special but I just like the look of most heavy armor over any other look.

I wear 2 heavy and 5 medium on my DPS builds, just so I'm not as squishy. I sacrifice a little damage for suitability.

I think they should make some heavy armor passives that proc off max health to help out tanking. Tanking in this game is next to impossible, at least for me. I've tried it with my DK main, but can never quite pull it off.

Get everyone to wait. AoE everything so it looks at you. CC them when the close in. Hold block and watch the DD's melt everything*. Use chains to grab anything that tries to wander after the healer. And if it takes time to die, the S+B taunt is a defence debuff. It's all resource management from here.

*YMMV, some DD's are better than others.

See, right here I get melted my ranged attacks once my stamina get's depleted from trying to dodge roll out of the red.

What percentage of attribute points are you putting in to health, stam and mag?

I'm running a Magblade. 1LA 1MA 5HA, 5Hist Bark 4Seducer on my tank bar and 5Seducer 3Hist Bark on my heals bar. Stats are 4Mag 2Health 1Stam. This is one of the few places you can hybrid and still be effective, focus on buffs, debuffs and CC. None of these are damage oriented, so max pools are a little less important.
Even as a stam build, slot a mag skill. The extra utility from your unused resource pool can save you life.
Block casting is awesome, but as a mag build, it can drop my stam pretty fast.
And dodge is your friend. It is absolutely amazing. Also, does anyone know if I can stack Mirage with Hist Bark and Blur, to make the jammiest *** imaginable...

It's only moving toward dps for PvP. It'll still be lame for PvE dps. Less crit, less sustain and less weapon damage than medium = less dps.

I'm in favor of heavy armor being more versatile and more of a viable choice for different builds and roles.

But not at the expense of the one place where it is truly needed: end game PvE tanking. The loss of the Bracing passive is a serious blow here. Hopefully it gets re-tuned; they've heard our feedback and say they are looking at it.

7/7 heavy is the only way to roll, you're a chump if don't.

Nope, they all give the same effect so it just overrides the previously attained one.
I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!

    DC - PC - EU - Australian
VR11 Mrderrikk: Breton Stam Sorc (Vamp) | VR16 Derrikkinblack: Dunmer Mage DK | VR3 Cuts-Until-It-Dies: Argonian Magicka NB

    Oh look, Anook.

Its the only way to move, tanking itself is already OP, if the tank is good enough, you can drink 100 potions and the guy is still standing. Its only good if they are moving away from the holy trinity.

I think they should not nerf the tankability of heavy armor anyway.

I thought that might be the case, whilst hoping it wasn't. Thanks for the response.
