This helps greatly with those last two traits on... pretty much everything. It's still a long time to wait, but it's better than 46 days.
Now if we could find a way to get Enchanting to advance as fast as the other Crafting skills...
Also, a subscription will further knock that down to just 27 days.
Research time is pretty much the only passive I put skill points in. You don't need any to improve an item, so you can just get white armor sets made cheap and then just improve them yourself. Funner to do it your self but you can save 30 skill points on your crafter this way.

Whilst you don't need any to improve items, they make it a lot cheaper. It takes twenty legendary materials to upgrade something without passives and only eight with the full passive.

Sometimes Add-ons will say one time, crafting station another... I've learned to ignore the timers... never had any ninth trait last longer than 30 days.
46 days to research your 9th trait...? Hm... I think this math may or may not help you out:
6, 12, 24, 48, 96, 192, 384, 768 = 1,530 hours = 63.75 days per weapon or armor piece to completely research every trait.
Blacksmithing = 7+7 = 14. sets of 8 traits to research
1,530 x 14 = 21,420 hours = 892.5 days. with no skill points invested in research time reduction.
(21,420 x 0.8) / 3 = 5,712 hrs / 24 = 238 days. to research every trait for every weapon and armor piece in this craft.
Clothing = 7+7 = 14. sets of 8 traits to research
1,530 x 14 = 21,420 hours = 892.5 days. with no skill points invested in research time reduction.
(21,420 x 0.8) / 3 = 5,712 hrs / 24 = 238 days. to research every trait for every weapon and armor piece in this craft.
Woodworking = 5+1 = 6. sets of 8 traits to research
1,530 x 6 = 9,180 hours = 382.5 days. with no skill points invested in research time reduction.
(9,180 x 0.8) / 3 = 2,448 hrs / 24 = 102 days. to research every trait for every weapon and armor piece in this craft.

This will make naysayers like me go away ... and possibly get a forum mod to speed up your ticket (you did submit an in-game ticket, right?).

You can research 3 blacksmithing, 3 woodworking and 3 clothing items at the same time though. So its not 892 days.
