ZOS can we get a simple answer to a simple question please?

I am not one to moan about support or your responses to forum posters. but this needs to be asked and answered.....

The mats and gold obtained by the latest exploit, are they going to be removed from game or not?

You have been remarkably quiet on the subject, but you can save a lot of effort on behalf of the player base by answering this simple question. If on the other hand as I suspect, you are planning a blitz on said ill gotten gains following more a more fuller investigation of each infraction, fine just make a comment.

Cheers for taking the time to read this.

I don't think they are, the 3 day ban was the only punishment, there are other threads on the topic, most people agreeing, unlimited yellow mats = would have been worth the three days of playing something else.

Must've been some streamers caught or something *shrug*

Not strictly true. We don't know that the 72 hour ban was/is the only punishment. Without official word on what is to be done with the mats and gold we won't know.

To remove the mats the exploiters either mule'd/sent/guild banked would take manpower and manpower requires getting paid. So there would be an expense to follow up with your line of thinking but no profit for them to do so. Zeni make more money off dedicating that team to re-meshing another cosmetic item (LION ANYONE?).

I dont see why or how anyone has the illusion or them putting any effort into correcting this exploit, it wont make them no ££. Longer the exploit run, more people bought banker to do it, more ££, thus it took them how long to HOTFIX since the banker released? Yeah GG

True, I'd like an answer too - what I really want though is after some very questionable public discipline choices whether ZOS would be willing to guarantee some enforced rules or we just going ham on whatever we can bug?

if they were going to remove them they would have when they took servers down. If they do it now the people who bought the mats would be out gold and mats. They would have to undo any upgrades that was done with the mats as well. refund gold to those who bought the mats as well. or remove the mats revert the upgrades and have a huge uproar via the community that they lost the things they spent time/ legit(non exploiters) earned coin for. which would take a long time either way to track it all down and fix it.

That being said it is very unlikely that they will remove the mats gained that way.

a *** ton of people who have abused it haven't been banned great job.
and guess what maybe like a handfull of people got punished to scare the others off but the point still is here the prices have been dropped a bit and some people are selling it in trade to avoid bumping the prices lower.

I suspect that it's too late. It had to be done when the emergency patch was applied or whilst the ban was in place. Mats may have been used or sold now making their removal impossible.

It is never too late, the returned from ban exploiters upset the economy, probably the most important, breathing heart of the game. Anything that could be done to lessen the impact on the player base would be welcome. This includes removing mats, gold from sales of said mats and upgraded gear that can be traced to the exploiters accounts and sitting in their, or alts bags or listed on guild stores.

I have no objection to the innocent keeping upgraded gear etc, but if they still have the mats they should be removed and any gold refunded. they after all bought in good faith.

ZOS has the records/logs, there is absolutely no reason not to follow through and finish the job. Nuff said

I am not asking for information on actions against individual accounts. Please re-read the original post. None of my followups have asked for anything different.

They will never say the real punishment, and never talk about it. If they gave us a direct answer about a disciplinary action; like they say is against their rules, that would set a precedent of them having to respond anytime something like this happens.

Imo, they will flag those accounts, and perma ban anyone who becomes a repeat offender of exploits.

I would refer you to my post above yours, I don't want them to talk about it, nor give info on disciplinary action. Furthermore they SHOULD respond when this kind of thing happens.

Maybe everyone should just let it go. It passed, the economy has more gold mats flowing through it. I really don't see the issue.

Its not passed, the amount of yellow mats exploited and stored will affect the market for MONTHS. The prices of things are already dropping (temperings in the 5k range now), so it is negatively affecting the gold mat sale profitability for other players meaning because they exploited - we earn less = direct effect.

And the lack of action taken with the lil' ol' slap on the wrist ENCOURAGES players to exploit this in the future, so they can act now, harsher, OR be challenged to act against a much higher portion of the community later that does not expect any form of real dishaprin

No. They'll just drop the temporary ban hammer (that already expired, even, i believe, and let everyone move with their lives.

    #EDIT;
People who say 'anything besides totally removing them from the face of earth iz encouragement to exploit' Usually are teh ones who felt most tempted to exploit, and only did not because of fear. They are not legitimate good persons, they just fear punishment. And now are so fraekin' jelly at exploiters that (they know) made tons of pretty numbers on a computer screen because of that.
