Sound problems still pretty bad on 64 bit client.

It takes a couple hours to start happening but I get the white noise hiss and the random out of place sounds. Lockpicking also has odd sounds rather than what should be. I hear randomly someone unsheathing a weapon too even alone with no NPCs around. Waterfall noises in buildings and dungeons without a waterfall in them.

Just curious when the 64 bit client will get some kind of update. I understand its not being updated in DB either but in incremental patches. Just curious where we are with the 64 bit client and what future plans you guys have for it.

This one has a temporary solution to this problem.

When exploring in Tamriel put the headphones over the ears. Be sure to use a device independent from your PC to plug the headphones into yes.

Put on folk song about horsies loudly.

Hear the hissing and the other strange noises no longer!

I wish they would fix it. Mine starts pretty much as soon as i turn it on. Id like to play with the 64 bit client but i also like to play with my sound on. So until this is fixed i cant. The random static is so annoying.

I have no problems with sound at all, on my 64bit machine.

Well, maybe that's because I turned ESO sounds off and blast music whilst gaming, but I really doubt that.

I actually do this. My problem is a love all the voice actung they have. It is one of the best qualities of the game. So while i turn off most the sound I like to keep character voices on. And then play music. So it makes me sad.

In pvp i can turn off all sound since the lag makes the sound affects mostly pointless anyway.

For longer than the past month I just turn the sound way down and listen to the radio.

Still on some days (I guess when there is a full moon) some noise will suddenly rise up from the bowels of Tamriel and unclarify my peaceful escape from the rampaging unfed hamsters that are running rampant thru the hall of ZOS. (Its a hamster problem; really)

And right you are: de gustibus non est disputandum (one cannot discuss taste).
    Or, to each his own.
To me, I play Black/Death Metal and the better Punk, which leaves that voice ingame becomes not-understandable.
Hence i turn that off as well.

I went back to 32bit client could not tolerate the static and random background noises associated with the 64bit client. Seems ZOS cannot get a handle on the problem.

Maybe they are still in the 16bit era, and just got up to date on 32bit?

It is a little better on the 64bit PTS client for me than it is on live, but yeah, the sound issues are still there and they are awful.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I have issues with static bursts as well and the voice acting seems to not work all the time either. Many times when I start coversations in the main story line quests for instance where I know there is voice it won't always have voice, it comes and goes. Seems to work ok in the 32bit version though.

Had a few crashes with the 64bit that I haven't seen in the 32bit either. Though this is still beta right now so that is expected I guess.

Happens to me also from time to time. Can play few hours without any hisses, than change location, some hisses occur, and again nothing for hours. Pls. keep improving 64bit client.

Same here, and that's what makes it so frustrating. My fps goes up by 10 to 15 fps, but the sound weirdness, while occasionally VERY funny, inevitably makes me fall back to the 32-bit client.

It usually happens on the first log nowadays, to fix it I have to leave game completely, relog only which fixes particle leak is not helping here than after client restart sound is alright.
Let us hope incoming main BD patch will improve something bout 64bit client.

I'd go back to the 32 bit in a heartbeat if it didn't crash me every 10 secs.

Alas, I am stuck with the 64 bit and its incessant random noises. Just last night I heard a mouse squeak every single time I hit my cloak. Was amusing at the start but by the 50th time it was annoying as hell.

Would like to also toss in my confirmation. NPC dialogue dropping out, random noises popping up in weird locations, random static that kills my eardrums (I wear headphones).

I had to switch back to 32bit, been noticing a 15 fps drop in performance ever since but beats having to mute the game.

Cmon ZOS, let's not ignore this issue hmm.
