Magblade and Stamblade

Anyone know any good PvE build/setups for these two? I'd ask in the build discussion forum but nobody ever actually views that ever.

I suggest you to play out the characters and see what fits you the best. The nightblade class is highly skill based and usually requires some getting used to.

In pve land they all seem about the same. Stay out of red, buff, spam, repeat.

That is what I was trying to point out to the fella who said NBs were highly skill based. Seemed sort of silly to me.

Magicka nb is much more versatile though,so many options,it's the player that makes it.

So far, *at least with grinding setup* I'd not exactly say it's a class for skilled people, not to mention everyone and their brother is a nb.

I have 5 chars one of them magblade dunmer that I love. Im leveling and imperial stamblade anyway. For pve is better magblade imo.

From grinding my magblade, I'd say so as you get a healing aoe spell damage increasing attack that can be spammed like crazy.

It is not like it almost signle handedly removes the need for a healer in some dungeons... Oh wait...

I used the Bloodleach slayer build from Battlemasters Corner. I converted it slightly so I moved almost all of my points into magika so it was more magika based and I changed maybe 2 or 3 skills that were stamina based, except for Unstoppable. It's a little tanky but I've enjoyed it for PvE.

Here's the stamblade PvE build I use currently (it's quite effective, even for a lazy guy like me).

Armor (all medium):
5x Briarheart
1x Molag Kena
1x Leki

Jewelry:
3x Agility

Weapons:
2x Leki (DW)
1x Leki (Bow)

DW bar: Rending slashes (or Ambush), Steel tornado (or Rearming trap), Surprise attack, Killer's Blade, Evil hunter (or Rearming trap), Flawless dawnbreaker (or Soul harvest)

Bow bar: Relentless focus, Siphoning attacks, Razor caltrops, Scorched earth, Poison injection (or Resolving vigor), Shooting star

Potions: Weapon power (major endurance, major brutality, major savagery).

Night mothers gaze @ 5 PC offers 5% dps increase and as such is likely superior to briarheart though the latter probably has cool effects.

Our skill setups are pretty similar for Stamblade, except I use Sap instead of caltrops (*** doing the pvp skill grind), Incap Strike instead of shooting star.

Seems really squishy though, especially in solo play, or I just suck at Stamblade.

Depends if you're trying to do every role or just dps and this is an alt. My mageblade is my only character with about 310 skill points.

I strictly DPS, and I have around 20k health with DW, the lack of self heals makes solo play much harder.

Sets I run:

5 Pc. Hunding's Rage (Boots, pants, belt, gloves, jacket)
1 Pc. Molag Kena (Shoulder)
3 Pc. Shadow Walker (Jewlery (I had this before Agility, using until I can get stam Agility jewlery))
3 Pc. Ashen Grip (Hat, Bow, DW)

Enchants on the armor are all set to stamina, traits are all divines except on the Kena shoulder.

Briarheart is interchangeable with Night mother or Hunding's rage.

I don't know which set provides best DPS, but I like Briarheart for the added survivability.
