3k unbuffed SD with destro?

Hi
I've seen a lot of other sorcerers using a Destruction staff with high unbuffed spell damage and decent regen. How are people pulling this off? Im sitting at 2727 SD using all gold: 5 kags, 1kena, 3 willpower (all spell dmg), and 2 torugs pact with the Atronach stone

Note that Thief mundus usually results in the best pve dps. And use elemental drain (or ask the healer to use it) if you lack magicka sustain.

Im that case its hard to reach decent regen with 3k spell dmg on a staff bar.

For pvp I dont think that 3k spell dmg is needed because it mainly comes down to timing the burst. And if you fight a tanky opponent you want to have enough regen to sustain throughout the fight.

@mosawer123 it's not so simple tho. Even with that the regen is to low in pvp IMO. Astro mundus is good for pvp.

if you want that soell damage you wont have anything even close to good recovery you have to pick and choose anything over 2600 with high max is fine in pvp cause you usually can pull on some nice recovery

I did this but my regen dropped a lot, I could get a 2pc to possibly compensate but is this the only way?

I'm usually always PvP so I need a good amount of regen too, but if I ever get the Malestrom staff that sounds really good

Blue cps boost magicka and dps output, but not spell damage.

Yea, but the green tree gives you up to 16.7% reduced cost and 25% regen.. So that way you dont need the atronach.

I have 455 CP (took a 6 month break from the game recently) on my Breton Sorc.

5 Julianos, 1 Molag Kena, 2 Torug's, 3 Willpower

Unbuffed I have the following;

42307 Magicka
3025 Spell Damage
55% Spell Crit.
833 Magicka Regen

So it's definitely doable on your 497 CP toon.

We'll you only have 833 regen and like I said I mostly PvP, so that regen is way too low.

We'll you only have 833 regen and like I said I mostly PvP, so that regen is way too low.

Switch to atronach mundus and that should go up considerably, then add in Magicka regen pots.

Compared to 0 cps yeah. But vr16 character (or any vr character) cant have 0 cps, unless in Azura's, and all cps have diminishing returns...
