What Is The Deal With The Destruction Staff?

Hi:

Currently I am using a Maple Inferno Staff, and I am able to acquire XP under the Destruction Staff Designation. But On the XP bar (which is currently at level 6) it states: "Improve this skill by earning XP with Destruction Staff abilities and a Destruction Staff equipped".

Now like I said, I'm using a Maple Inferno Staff. If I go to the Mages Guild in Daggerfall, the NPC there sells Inferno, Ice, Lighting and Restoration Staffs, but sells nothing called a Destruction Staff at all. In fact, I haven't found any NPC that actually sells a "Destruction Staff" and am wondering how I go about getting one (if there is such a thing).

Is there actually an in game item called a "Destruction Staff", and if there is... how the heck do I go about getting one?

I Googled in attempt to find out if the Destruction Staff is an in game item and although I came across a good deal of information concerning the benefits of using a Destruction Staff, I found nothing that indicated whether or not a Destruction Staff is an in game item.

Inferno, Ice and Lightning staffs are all destruction staffs. Just keep setting stuff on fire and you should be good to go!

Destro staffs are elemental (fire, ice, shock)

Hi Gingivitis

After you've been running round killing and finding chests and gathering the goodies, look in your Inventory. In the weapons section it will tell you which of the staffs you are using and or have found are Destruction or Healing.
