Keeping my 2nd account - for low cp chars

I have a 2nd account (non-sub) just for playing around with alts, none higher that lv15. In thinking about the post Vet world, I realized that since I have close to 500CP on my main account , all my alts will always be either lvl 1-49, or the equivalent of V16.
So now I am leveling one char on my 2nd account to lvl 50, and then I figure I will be able to mess around with lvls that are the equivalent of levels V1-V16.
It might be fun to explore what they are doing with silver & gold, and other non-scaled zones.

Am I wrong? is that stupid?

You could simply not apply CPs or attributes and equip lower gear if you wanted the immersion.

Your main account situation raises a question I don't know the answer to, but hopefully someone else does.

Is the level of your alts once they reach lvl 50 going to be determined by the amount of CPs held, irrespective of whether they have been applied to those alts?

I started a new character this weekend, just not using any CPs at all. Funnest I have had in a while in PvE, you actually have to pay attention to what you are doing.

I could max out CP, craft set gear, and spam biting jabs for the next 2 weeks of my life, but I choose not to.

    You can choose too.

Yes, and that's the issue. It's cool in some ways, but yes, if you have at least one V16 and a bunch of CP, then account-wide as soon as any alt hits lvl50 in the new world, they will be wearing what is now V16 armor and have as many cp as your highest level (and all your other) characters.

Yeah, that is a good point. Something to think about.
But one thing I miss is the sense of advancement we have now. "I can finally wear V5 gear!!"
While I don't like the grind, I kind of enjoy the incremental advancement, something to work towards for each char. Not as exciting to just earn a cp.

That's important, I agree. Perhaps the answer for those of us only just hitting VR levels with a main character but with alts as well is to concentrate on getting all the characters to 50 before pressing on with the accumulation of CPs. The problem with that tho' is that it's pointless doing the DLC content like Orsinium and TG before a character is lvl 50 because it'll result in being greatly over-leveled for the base game content, and if we hold back on the DLC till all the characters are lvl 50 then it kicks that extra content into the long grass. I'm still working out the best way of proceeding, although like the OP I have a second account with no CPs so can focus on that for a while anyway if necessary.
