The fighter's guild instructor in AD's starter zone makes me smile anytime - she says something like that to her recruits - " ... who cannot keep up, will be left behind. Now move it, even dosing Argonians are faster". I have an Argonian in AD.

Yep if you play a Dunmer OP then s'wit, n'wah, and fetcher are the way to go!

A few other insults that haven't been mentioned yet:

Shaveskin = Khajiiti insult for anyone who's not a Khajiit

Knife-ear = any type of elf

Grey-skin = Dunmer

There is this one ashlander referring to me as "blursap" ... i am not sure if that actually is an insult, but it sounds pretty much like it could be one.

Dryscales isn't very charming too (argonian name for non-argonians).

Evenso its correct, any Breton should rage when called an "halfelf".

Nobody has ever insulted an Orc and survived to tell the tale.

True an orc would probably try to cut your tongue for beeing called an half-elf, too... but their bonds to elven heritage is somewhat different. I am not even sure they would agree on beeing "mer" atm ... they have been, yes. No orc will oppose to that. But the change inflicted on them shapes their thinking an doing and their religion as well as tradition boil down to day 1 AFTER the change. What lied before seems for a traveller like me less important. Maybe the orcs of tamril might enlighten us on this, but to me orcs seem to have closed the chapter of "beeing mer" and opend their thoughts to beeing "a totally new race".

For bretons on the other hand the elven heritage is a very real every-day-issue. It does not only stand for the reason the race exists at all (no human-elf relationships = no bretons) but is a constant reminder that these relationships where shaped in circumstances undesierable to at least one partner (the slave). A race shaped by slavery, that finally managed to fight its way out of slavery ... and is still haunted by that history when looking in the mirror.

Lyris comes out with some pretty hilarious insults, I'll have to document all of them some day. Also there is a Bosmer in Elden Root that insults an obnoxious Altmer, I'll see if I can't grab a scrrenshot.
