RNG and Loot: The HELL is going on here?

When I came back, all was "decent" (cheap, but well).
Lately however, where I found a few blue items a day, now I find one in DAYS, if I am lucky, as loot.
Purple never dropped, but I do understand this is "rare stuff".
Gold wise the loot dropped significant as well, chests and the likes hold crap now, animals HARDLY drop skins anymore, I could go on, but...
What on Tamriel is going on???

✭✭I have noticed no drop off as far as loot or skins. In fact, v16 skins drop more frequently now. Chests in Cyro/IC and the new regions have a decent mix of items still. I'm not quite sure I follow totally. This has never been a loot heavy game. All of the blue and purple drops you do find are just deconn material anyhow.0 -

✭Yesterday/today I was scouting usually depopulated Island of Khenarthi's Roost (vet1) and I found a large number of treasure chests, all with 1 blue item inside, sometimes malachite shards (1 per few chests). So many treasures there awaiting around sunken ships, I just can't complain

-In the areas where i am, chests are usually simple, VERY rarely intermediate, not to mention higher of lock.
Content is crap.
-World Boss level 42, Queen of the Three Mercies: 1 bow (16 gold) 1 sword (10 gold) 1 of stamina, magicka and health pot, and 25 gold.
And this is just an example.
Now, I do get the logic about bosses and drops, we do not want them to be farmed, SO, we give them junk loot.
Fair enough, i get that.
Then give something when we end this World Boss (quest reward, as example), or a one time loot box with loot/level.
Plenty of ideas in that regard.
Being a completionist, I do these, but damn, they are an ABSLOUTE waste of time and fun.
Quest Bosses... often they give NOTHING.
And he's supposed to be a boss.
Animals: skin drop ratio: upon 5 kills, appx 2, 3 skins.
Lockboxes, well...
Seems the best loot is when stealing, BAH!
No wonder every sad sod is a thief!!!!

Pyr0xyrecuprotite✭✭✭✭✭Purples are extremely rare below level 35, and then still fairly rare until you get to late vet levels.
You can normally get a couple of purple drops per group dungeon run, and of course from Undaunted gold key chests.
If you get hirelings up to 3 skill points, you might get a purple mat once every few days.0 -

✭✭If I may respectfully inquire, what do you want all these drops for besides decon? Blue, purple and green wep and armor drops are only good for this purpose. Until late game, crafted gear is always the way to go, and even at late game, still is in a lot of scenarios. Blue and even purple weapons sell for very little to vendors and don't sell at all on guild stores, unless someone needs a cheap item for trait research. This is not and never has been a loot fest type game.0 -
