Maintenance for the week of September 23:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – September 23

some simple but needed crafting improvements/changes!

Saggittare
Crafting in the game is pretty good but could use these improvements

Alchemy
Make potions last 3-5 mins or 7-10 w/med use. Will still restore x amount of stamina/magicka automatically but keep the 20% spell/weapon damage, spell, weapon crit and 20% regen for 3-5 min or 7-10 w/med use, Potions with detection and invisibility will remain unchanged

45 seconds is pretty useless for PVE especially longer boss fights/dungeons/arena etc..

PVP-does anyone even use them?

Crafted sets
I was under the impression that crafted sets were supposed to be better than dropped sets or at least they should be equal to if not better than dropped sets, but after these recent DLCs I've been very disappointed with the crafted sets and was hoping that Dark Brotherhood DLC would shine some light on crafted sets but after watching Syphers and Deltias review on the new sets the crafted sets are literally useless and undesirable and most likely require 8-9 traits now I understand that the Dark Brotherhood sets are in "testing" and could change but highly unlikely.

Crafted sets with 8-9 trait requirement should be godly or at least on par with dropped sets, there's only a few decent 8-9 trait sets but right now best crafted is hundings/night mother and julianous which are 5 or 6 traits no need to research traits any further. Either give the 8-9 traits a serious buff/rework or reduce the time to 2 mins because they're pretty useless (1 or 2 exceptions may apply)

Glad to see the addition of poisons which will make alchemy more interesting and somewhat useful and the buff to enchanting is nice.

Crafted sets used to be better than dropped sets, but the realization came that no one is going to do content if they can make equal or better than what is available in party or raid functions. In order to get players into those settings they had to create unique set bonuses that stood apart from crafted bonuses. We used to have crafted set bonuses that only required 2,3 or 4 items to fulfill their entire bonuses, unfortunately that created some classes to have as many as 4 complete sets that worked in their class' favor; all were converted into 5pc bonus sets to get the full power out of them. They did reintroduce 2pc and 3pc sets again, but making them drops and specific pieces they had more control over balancing their strengths.
