Anyone else banned for 72 hrs for no reason

Just received an email that my account is suspended for 72 hours for exploiting. I spend way too many hours in this game to cheat or exploit and am completely confused because they don't even state how I "exploited".

Did you use a summoned banker to put away survey maps? There was an ongoing exploit involving these steps and I've already seen a post by someone stating that doing it is triggering an automatic suspension.

Without going into too much detail - it is likely you had been using a convenience tool for transfer of Surveys which may have pinged the banhammer.

Submit an appeal - if you were not exploiting then you will get unbanned - expect this thread to be closed for discussing disciplinary actions, though

Id ban any1 for exploiting for far longer...
Id take the expected playerbase for a friday night x hours down then divide by exploiters and that is how long they should be banned for...which probably be weeks....

I have not done anything to deserve this. I log into my 8 accounts and do writs everyday.

Nah you just want to discourage them. You dont want to stop them from coming back and spending money.

yes me. i even dont have a banker.

edit: i do that writs every day on every char of my acc, then put them into bank, because its more efficient to collect them with one acc. thats all. i guess they just checked, who transfered writs via bank. well done, zos.

Is it against the rules to have 8 charicters and log into the game to do the 6 daily writs?

I do all writs on one character, and the crafting ones on 2 more characters. Spent more than 2 hours yesterday getting surveys from the previous weeks on all of them. Didn't have a problem.

omg thats what they did. They banned everyone who deposits surveys into their bank. Which does nothing to gain an avantage

It is just a little teensy bit funny that people bought bankers for that exorbitant price, found a little "loophole" while out gathering writs and using the banker, then got banned cause ZoS caught them using the mistake to their advantage. You'll all be back, no worries, but it's still mildly ironic.

Funny I don't even own a banker and they suspended me. I believe they are banning everyone who has 8 VR16 characters and do the 6 writs and then go to the regular bank and put the surveys in there. So if you put surveys in the bank the old fashioned way your not exploiting anything but still being banned.

I don't see the irony. The "loophole" isn't tiny, it has the potential to flood the game with rare materials, same as the duplication bugs on launch. People doing this repeatedly are aware that they're cheating.

Also, for those saying that this is on ZOS for having exploitable mechanics - do you really think any software is free of such issues? What do you think all the zero-day exploits are that hackers use to break out of your system's sandboxed environment and deploy arbitrary code? Just because it's there, it's not fair game to abuse it. Similarly, if you find a wallet in the street, do you keep it because the stupid owner lost it? If you do - and believe me, I know many people would - then I find you somewhat lacking in the moral department. But hey... that's just me.

If you did nothing wrong, open up a Support ticket (or reply to the email, which ever they suggest) and challenge the ban. If you are lucky, you will catch someone that can review your situation today.

stupity at its best. but didnt expect anything else from english forum. too many trolls. in the past weeks and month there were some people banned for stuff, they didnt do. problem is: support doesnt check everything. at this moment it also seems as if they arent even able to check, if someone lays his writs into bank by usual npc bankier or by crown-store bankier. poor zos. really.

Putting a writ survey in your bank is not exploiting - I have always done writs this way, do all the writs on whichever characters I want to do writs on, then put the surveys in the bank and pick them up on my main who goes and collects the mats. That is not using any exploit, that is normal play.

But were the mats removed?
Cause 72 hours ban doesnt mean much if theyre still in their banks/shops.

I was banned, actually had no clue why till I came here. I have 4 toons I do writs with daily, if I'm bored I'll do 6. I then bank them, when i have 10 to 12 surveys I go out and collect. Is this an exploit ? *note* i do not own a banker.

But I wonder if it could have been an exploit. Get survey, go to location so it spawns, back to bank, deposit survey, back to survey before it de-spawned (bank in same zone), loot, back to bank, repeat... Surly not nearly as bad as the hireling exploit, but maybe it was possible? Response: Kill them all and let customer support sort them out?

No that is not an exploit. Many people who do multiple writs do the same and have always done it that way.

No that is not an exploit. Many people who do multiple writs do the same and have always done it that way.

That's what i though, Very disappointed I've never been banned from any game and as a long time ESO plus member it makes me rethink my membership.
