stolen items and deconstructing them

So today I picked up the crafting writ daily for woodworking which wants me to craft 3 of each staff, I only had 87 lumber leaving me 12 short. No problem I'll go steal some bows and shields, I stole exactly 12 items as they would give 1 lumber each. I go to deconstruct them, even the counter shows I received 12 lumber back, but when I got to craft it shows I have a total of 97, huh I thought I grabbed enough. I went back out and grabbed a bow and a shield, deconstructed them and the counter shows I got 2 lumber, one for each item. Go to craft and my count is now at 98...

You know I understand that you nerfed stolen items deconstructing down to 1 item each, but if it's not going to even give me that at least show the message that you got nothing instead of falsely saying you got 1 mat back.

You can always fence them and decon, that will give you that same feel before they nerf'd it. The best spot to do it is in Craglorn as the area to fence is right near the enchanters area.
