I started playing PvP 3 days ago after playing PvE since console release and what I saw was just disgusting.
In a group of 15 people a camp was set up in the lower right side of the map where most would never think twice to look.
After 2 hours the camp was still there and we decided to go see what was up.
I both streamed this live and saved the video on my ps4, it is on my twitch channel.
The second place in line for thornblade emperor was just having a blast "boosting" with a yellow friend of his.
When they saw us the yellow burned the camp and vanished.
I continued to monitor the 2nd place gamer for hours, about 2 of them.
He went up 300,000 ap in that time taking first place and as of server shut down the score was rising at a very rapid pace.
I am not complaining because he is doing better than me, I am complaining because he is doing absolutely nothing to get there.
As a ps4 user the emperor position is needed to obtain the platinum trophy, and it will never happen with many people because of jerks like him.
Me? I rose to 23rd place on my first PvP run EVER, and it's only day one of the campaign, so cheating to get there is to me absurd and childish, ruining chances for real gamers to enjoy rewards earned....earned.
I don't know what else to say, the disapointment is so bad I bought a different game to play and I really don't know if I'll be coming back as the only thing left for me to do is PvP, I'm sure DB will take me less than 4 days to beat.
I can't think of any way to motitor this behavior, no way to stop it.
You complain about game breaking glitches I noticed, well this here is not just game breaking, but it is game ruining and discouraging.

I got to the low 30s pvp rank my first night in IC arena. Took about 2 to 3 hours. If you got the numbers and if blue keeps coming it works well.

You mean to tell me you have only done PvE since June?...Welcome to Cyrodiil... Emperor is a fools goal, stop worrying about it. Just go kill things.

Maybe he just want's the dye and achievement, I'd love to have those but not deal with the terrible laggy nightblade infested place called Cyrodiil.

Emperor isn't a fools goal mate it's something to get and dominate the other alliances with. As a Stam DK who never plays with groups and is always solo I finally got one and boy was it fun! One dragon leap killed like 8 people and recovered my ultimate so quickly that I could just keep spamming it wiping zergs upon zergs. Two WBs = a heal bot dying even if said heal bot had cc immunity, what's not to love about that?!

I think the best is one shotting groups with a cold harbor ballistic or dumping oil on invading forces which results in insta kills especially if I follow up with a leap XD

EDIT: Now I will say it's practically so difficult to accomplish because people literally have to no life the campaign in PvP and it gets extremely tedious with the lag in it and repetitive since you're just killing over and over again with nothing really give you that "Wow!" or that "LOL" every often.

I have to admit, I expected to check this for replies and find that my post was going to be ridiculed and dismissed as a sore losers opinion.
I really want to thank you all for the responses.
What I can't stop thinking about is the 32 hours I played without stopping with the foolish belief that I stand a chance at earning that title.
All the deaths, all the gold and AP spent at siege merchant, the AWESOME scroll run that my first group let me do when I was witnessing my first scroll taking, did I mention all the deaths?? Oh.....and the lovely teabags I got to receive from my lovely enemies
It is a crying shame that all the real gamers play so long and so hard just to let some waste of human skin end up with the rewards we earned him while he did nothing.
I need to ask myself now, is it a race to see who can cheat faster now to get that trophy and title?
I thought children stuck with call of duty and stayed away from the series I grew up playing, but I am wrong.
Thank God the dlc for fallout 4 drops soon!!!!!!!
Until then I bought the last of us remastered to tide me over.
At least I don't have to pay for the ESO plus anymore....thankfully I bought the thieves guild dlc.

Yeah, this is a really sad issue honestly.
In Azura's Star on PS4 NA there's a guild of Red and Yellow trading off Emperor between themselves and sabotage anyone else that tries to ruin their little boost club. I was honestly trying for it at first but once I got to around 8th place, they immediately shot up almost 2 mil AP and dashed any hope I had to get there.

I just want the dye and achievement honestly but at this point I've given up and only play PvP to buy the last bits of the Akaviri motif I'm missing and save up for when a Monster set I want drops.

Some Emperors are legit, some aren't. Many of the top PVP players are in the hundreds in the rankings and a few garbage players are in the top 50. It is what it is. I personally don't have the time, nor inclination to cheat my way there or get it legitimately. As long as I get my purple or gold rewards I feel like I'm doing my job.

Just find what you like to do and do it. Try not to worry about it. The IC Arena is basically Call of Duty Tamriel. If you wanna kill a hundred people in an hour go there. If you wanna take keeps play up top. If you wanna go ninja ganker style there are hundreds of places for that. Just enjoy yourself. PVP is a ton of fun if you don't freak out over a few dozen people who try to ruin it for everyone.

Zenimax always said even before release that activities such as repairing keeps would contribute towards the potential of becoming Emperor so that it was not about who was best at combat, but who contributed most overall in a variety of activities - it's that way by design. Go buy some keep repair kits.

They really need to rethink and redo how emporer is attained. It needs to be more than just a AP accumulation. They punish larger groups, when those are the guilds that take maps and actually PvP. People talk about large groups having no skill. But all the top player in EVERY campaign farm "enemy" players at some random resource to get there and take advantage of the faCT that ZOS really don't know what it's doing when it comes to making games. (I am fine with this) it's a new type of game and trial and error on live servers is the most efficient and often the only way to solve problems. I think the main issue is they really on the pts servers to give feed back too much. What they need to do is contact the players directly and individually and ask them specific questions to improve the game. Obviously there needs to be some kind of base line. And new players while welcome, simply don't know enough about the game to give effective input. So contact veteran players and large social guild leaders. If they don't start doing that and just listen to the crowd... only the loudest voices will be heard. And the loudest is almost never the brightest.

I played for 4 days going for EMP and was doing nice was first with about 400k, 2nd with 390k etc

All pretty close to each other but then out of nowhere someone swoops by and ends up with 800k+ and I have barely got past 450 or what ever

I ended up given up on the campaign and EMP

On XB1 NA we have to put up with EP and AD boosting for Emperor in every server.

Its always nice when a DC gets it due to it being rare in all but one server.

AD is guilty of it the most, theres legit like full groups of 20 to 30 yellows who move in a large zerg bomb wielding ball spamming magelight that are all rockin' the Former Emperor and at times current Emperor title all wearing the same tabard.

Its disgusting to see tbh, I tbag all of them going down the line when my group of 3 wipes them though.

Now hold on. That's my guild. Lol. And they didn't ap farm to get those titles. They worked very hard for tha. Took vacation te stayed up for days ect... but that one guy who was getting 2 mil ap a day in scourge.. yeah that guy. He and his whole group ap farm. It's that main reason the larger pvp guilds left scourge
