Help Settle a guild "disagreement"

Right then guys and gals, been having a running disagreement for a few days in the guild im in and hoping you knowledgable folk can help. The ones arguing have been pretty much playing on console from day 1 so we should really know but.......

Is critical strike chance capped at 50% in cyrodiil?

Im firmly in the "what the bloody hell are you talking about" camp but a lot of experienced people claim it is.

It is not capped in cyrodiil, however, battle leveled players do have their stats capped in cyro.

Many stam NB builds are all about hight crit chance, high crit damage.

I guess i can't say without a doubt, but my understanding is that it is not capped.

Easy solution would be to take a build with high crit and go light attack an npc repeatedly with combat text on keep track of how many you get.

If you have 80%+ crit but repeatedly only score 5/10 crits something is up. Not a perfect test but should work.

Crit damage is mitigated in PVP though by Impen gear traits, Resistant CP, and player Shields. So the idea of having a build with extreme high crit chance may not be advised in PVP, as you most likely sacrifice some damage to achieve it.

ye, and the better ones run high regen and wpn dmg.
