That's unfortunate however do expect to find players like this, these "super" players are pretty much elitists BTW what platform are you on?

I'm on PC :) and yeah i know we're expected to find those.. as i said i thinkt this experience of mine can have some meaning to be found for different people that's why i decided to post it ^^

I do find most content in this game easy, but it's definitely alot more enjoyable to do it the way it was intended to be done. What faction are you in?

dps who wear full heavy armor, put points into stam and use single target magicka spells in aoe pulls
What's wrong with this? I have a dps orc stamina templar in heavy armor and 2H/Staff, Vampire's Kiss set, I usually pull ads away from tank by using templar's aoe. With this set and BoL I'm quite safe and supporting healer too with force siphon if needed. For the boss ranged radiant opression.

Although I never did any full pledge, just normal dungeons, in which that build is quite effective. You think I will have trouble in this veteran pledge? Or my group having such dps?

Well, if you're stamina dps, you'd profit more from wearing medium armor - it'll give you significant damage increase and better stamina management ;) Heavy armor gives meagerly better defence than medium and its best passive is reducing block cost which isn't all that useful for a dps.
Your magicka cosing skills(such as BoL and Radiant Opression and, say, Puncturing Sweep morph which I assume is what you mean by templar aoe) scale with max magicka, spell crit and spell damage. Your stamina costing skills(such as whole 2h skilltree and Biting Jabs(stam morph of that skill) ) scale with max stamina, wep damage and wep crit.

Ever since the removal of softcaps the most efficient way to build your character is to spec purely for one or the other, i.e. if you're dps you're generally either wearing medium armor, stacking weapon damage, max stamina, wep crit and using stamina skills or you're wearing light armor, stacking spell damage, max magicka, spell crit and using magicka skills. Otherwise you're kind of gimping yourself unfortunately.

Vampire's Kiss is also a pretty tanky set, you aren't benefitting much from it as dps As a stam dps you could try Hunding's or/and Night Mother's instead and mow everything down 5 times as fast ;)

It really hurts my feelings that I couldn't even read past the "heavy armors best passive is bracing".... And now it's being taken away D:

I just read it again and yes, I need to change my build according to those instructions, hope my dps will be much better then. Just realised that recently I made some major changes to my other alt, which is bow dps with medium armor Hunding's indeed, and dps of this one raised so much :o . So... thank you very much :).
*I have 8 alts and when starting each new I tried to have different weapons, different armors. It seems that what was cool at the beginning (pve), is no more cool in dungeons/groups...

Hopefully people can realize there's a difference between being a great player, and being a team player. Some people are both, some are neither.

Most of the "super players" you find pugging are less likely to be team player. I'm not saying that most of them are jerks, but it's more likely. Because the good, friendly players end up banding together to play.

They join guilds, make more friends, and ask eachother when going into dungeons. Usually when it comes to training, They don't choose to teach randoms, but will usually help a guildy when they are not busy.

that's why one of the big recommendation in dungeon threads is to join a guild.

Its even worse on ps4 since people dont communicate and theres no text chat. I got kicked from a group even though I was doing my job while another dps, a stam nightblade with maw of infernal set, kept dying due to his failure to heal himself and a not so good healer. :( wasted 20 soul gems ressing him.

Sounds like you didn't actually have a "super player" but rather a player with a really good build who was bad at the game none-the-less because he didn't understand strategy.

He probably took his build from someone else anyway.

I will take a slightly less geared and less optimized player, who has a brain, over a super optimized idiot any day of the week.

Lol I dislike people who copy builds because they can't think for themselves, it's even worse when they act like they're amazing.

    ^^this.
The jump from solo-leveling-PvE to 4-man-dungeons and 12-man trials is like a teleportation in a different world/game.

That said, you having tried and experienced many options and practised many different abilities during your leveling time will still be a great asset. You'll understand much better and quicker why such and such is recommended - and also differentiate good advice from bad advice too.

This is another one of those "hate on people who optimism their builds thread" I see. Some people run in to those toxic wannabe Elitists and all the sudden the great players in this game are the enemy.....plenty of the players who some of you claim are just running copy paste builds actually spent lots of time testing different things trying to find out what works best.

Many of the people who usually run this stuff fast or efficiently are actually great people. Many whom most likely would teach random players how to do something in most cases.

The OP in this instance was clear up front she didn't know the dungeon. True Elite players would have adapted to that knowing it was possibly going to be a bumpy ride.

Don't feel bad, as "elite" as he thought he was, players like that usually can't even make it past a try out raid with hardcore guilds, there's no room on a progression team for someone who can't stay humble.
