Are trials gear really BiS right now?

I generally like to min/max my characters, but I don't know if trials gear are BiS. It's the trouble of finding people to get on the leaderboards I'm having problems with. Before anyone starts saying L2P, I've been finding teams that can beat it fine, but getting bumped off the leaderboards is something my teammates don't care about. I would like the rewards, but I'm not gonna bother with them if they aren't a game changer.

✭✭✭Right now all the old Trials gear is v12/14. When SO loot gets scaled to v16 something might change, but atm there isn't much point in bothering.
Now vMoL sets that you get for the weekly...RNG sucks like usual so these aren't easy to get and I'm not convinced they're BiS. But there're definitely some very interesting sets out there, especially considering they have jewelry and weapons too.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭The jewelry for magika and stam dps from the new trial are bis. 5% more damage against boss (more NPC counts as boss than is obvious). Hard to beat that.
Healer set, especially with just jewelry is not so good.0
