No More Veteran Ranks? Awesome....but....

You know what would make this upcoming DLC the best thing to hit for a long time running?

The ability to play cross faction seemlessly. And before the lore brigade comes on here and tries to make it sound silly, let's just look at one little thing that would make it compatible right off the bat. Once you finish the Quest called Caldwell's Silver which basically breaks the notion that you can't see the other factions by making a disguise. Second, the entire main story makes you the hero in which you go through and destroy the main enemy, the prince of evil for lack of a better word, if anyone were actually to break through Meridia's magick they would still see you as a hero.

And then there's also Veteran Rank removal and the ability to meet up in dungeons that are cross faction already.....so let's just go there for a second shall we? Why not allow cross faction for questing it would certainly help guilds out especially on the console. My entire guild is made up of players who all started off in other factions from one another, we can't group because all of our now veterans cannot connect with one another. When we tried to group to do a dungeon we used the current tool and guess what it did, it put us in different groups entirely instead of allowing us to join as a group to do even the simplest of things, dungeons. So we're back as square one. Why have an MMO when you take away the very thing that makes MMO's great in the first place?

And finally, I can understand that cutting high level players off from low level players that makes sense because you wouldn't want powerleveling and to reverse this part of the system would be huge. What we're talking about today is allowing players who've completed the quest called Caldwell's Silver to group up despite factions in the same shard so that they can quest together. It makes 0 sense not to allow this process under the current list of circumstances I've listed above.

...but why would you want to quest together? Mobs already die from a couple light attacks and quest desynching gets pretty bad unless they fixed it recently(which I doubt), stuff like one person click "close dialogue" first and it also closes for the other though he hasn't read everything yet and he now has no option to read it because he's been put onto the next step of the quest...

What they should do (some day when they servers can actually handle that) is make non-faction zones cross faction, Coldharbour, Craglorn, Wrothgar, Hew's Bane etc. Maybe one day...

Also, you don't need groupfinder anymore to group for dungeons/Trials/vDSA, you can just invite opposing faction players from your friend/guildlist now ;) Just make sure neither of you is in Cyrodiil. Doesn't work there for obvious reasons.

It's still a problem, I guess cross faction zones would work, I'd personally like to see them do that with all of their current DLC V16 zones because that's basically where everyone meets to do the dailies and dungeons right now and delves. World bosses are out however because some people can't group and when you factor into it that most guilds that are large have different groups within the same guild because not everyone can group with everyone else all Zenimax is doing is making it harder for people to play their game in the open world.

Honestly should be open because Cadwells already breaks all immersion.

Cyrodiil, PvPers switch sides so much that loyalty isn't even a concern.

    So yeah. Open it up.
