I love RPG's and MMO's. At a certain point in my long history of gaming (at my older age) I left behind first person shooters completely finding them to offer little stimulation to he mind, and lack of content. MMO's seemed to always offer more content, band for the buck, and all around level.
Even back to the early emergence of MMO's like Ultima Online and everquest (post text based games) I enjoyed the game style. FFXI became a favorite of ien due the the depth of content, story line and cut scenes. Sure I played WOW, and many others. But FFXI then later after the remake of XIV still remained my favorites. Dispite the demand they had on players to grind and do intense party fights for long hours.
But I wanted something else on the console. When I saw ESO go on sale at gamestop for 19.99, I decided to grab the deal before it went back to 39.99 a few days later. I was glad I did.
I loved the elder scrolls games, especially Marrowwind, which was amazing for it's time. The later games tuned down things alot, but they were graphically wonderful.
So far I enjoy ESO. I can play solo, but often the fact is on quests you will meet up with people. Which is nice. The game is fun, offers plenty of quests and story. I take the time to enjoy it with no need to rush to level 50 and miss the game, resulting in giving an unqualified review like many I see out there that give a negitive review, but clearly when asked, those people didn't even pay attention to the story, quests and skipped most the content.
Hopefully Work will continue nto the content, patching, and fine tuning. Like all MMO's it takes a long time to polish it, and so far it seems to be happening (even if some things re not addressed right away.
I would liek the ability to put more actions on my bar however but with swappign that helps. Controller limits are a factor but action bar swapping improvements woud be great.
