With all the skill changes that are happening

ZOS really need to offer a free respecc this time around. I know the vocal minority kicked off before so they said basically never again but its going to cost me around 75k just to respecc all my toons.

Surely they can give every toon a respecc scroll or offer reduced price on respecc for a few weeks??

Very true, I definitely think a respec is needed thus patch or else you'll be in the red if you want to respect your tools for gold. Honestly to those who don't want the respec because they can't remember their build... HOW CAN YOU NOT REMEMBER, TAKE ALL THE PASSIVES, THEN LOOK AT AND TAKE THE CORRECT MORPHS THAT BENEFIT YOU. It's not that hard.

I agree, OP. I had to pay ~6k to respec last patch solely due to the Cloak changes - everything else was the same. Whilst 6k is peanuts on the face of it, it's a lot just for changing one ability on two characters.

However, I doubt Zo$ will as to me, they used 10-20 QQers as an excuse to try and boost Crown Store sales.

Visit a shrine ... contribute some gold... voilà.

Adding to a really easy way of use these shrines provide another reason to be a better choice then a skill reset:
Those that keep forgetting their skills can only take away morphs ... others might like to keep all skills as they are, but redistribute attribute points.

I assume you are fairly new(ish) they reset skill points after an update a while ago and a few people kicked off so they said they wont do it anymore. Simple fact is, long term players generally have more than one max lvl character, its not just a few changes in DB its a bloody ***! All im saying is we should have a choice to respecc as I dont have 75k plus to do it.....not to mention 3k per toon for champion points

I think with the changes, including the fact that apparently abilities are now costing roughly 5.5% more, they should reset both skills AND CP so people can adjust accordingly.

Last patch cost me over 30k for respecs

Not doing that again anytime soon so I will respec my main char tomorrow and just take like 5 skills and the MOST necessary passives on him

And I will pvp on another char I am not planning to respec...

Don't quote me on this, but Gina Bruno already said there won't be a free respec because it wasn't really popular. Or Rich Lambert. Don't remember pretty well. Just saw it in a post a few days ago.

To keep making such fundamental and game-changing changes to skills and classes and not offer an optional full respec is spectacularly poor form. Almost all other MMOs offer this when they heavily restructure skills / classes, or else they have game mechanics already in place where respec'ing is such a trivial affair they don't need to. This is not the case in ESO where it costs a lot of gold and the respec system is so clumsy, requiring you to respec every skill line (or every morph) even if you only want to make one small change.

See-saw game balance changes with bouts of poorly conceived and barely tested boosts and nerfs is never good anyway. But if that's the way the devs wish to conduct game balance changes, then fine, but don't punish players for it with high respec costs.
