Ofc not :p since I have both

Also, don't write off Magicka builds just yet. I'd say both are pretty much even with the next update

Nope... we have 8 spaces... more than enough room for both... Have 2 magicka and 2 stam Nightblades, love them all. Plus with extra slots coming... and the Appearance change options on the horizon for this year, re-reolling would be a waste. Think of your mount ;)

Well yes but having 4 chars I dont feel like doing another one XD. Im not that altoholic. I have 1 of each class and its enough for me. I will continue with my magblade, stamplar, stamknight and magsorc.

why would you have 2 stam and 2 mag NBs? just wondering , its cool but I have a VR16 of each class, should i make a stam and Mag version of each too...I do have 8 slots atm anyways lol.

I've re-rolled my bosmer stamblade to magblade after the TG patch. Been stamina since beta but got sick and tired of being sub-par with magicka builds in PvE. Was thinking to change back with the DB release but after reading patch notes I don't think it worth it. With all the changes magblade still looks way better.

Too many FoTMs on these forums: just play whatever build you enjoy.

A 6k Bone Shield at 40k stamina isn't going to make you Sorc-esque and you'll likely die much quicker than running higher recovery and dodge rolling more. 12% extra DoT damage on PInjection isn't going to be noticeable. 50% more AoE damage on RSlice isn't going to make you in to a Zerg buster. KBlade now dealing physical damage isn't going to make you slot it.

Killer's Blade, why yes it is. Even without disease damage it hits harder than surprise attack in execution range so why not.

With Veteran removal in next dlc, you just need to get to level 50 and it will then be at the same Champion Rank as your other one. If you delete and re-roll (presuming you have a Veteran character already) then in the future when things sway magicka, you will be thinking the same. Sometimes Magicka will be buffed and more fun for a while, sometimes Stamina. Also, and this partly answers Reevster...

The difference between a stam NB and a Mag NB is huge. They are practically two different classes. The magic nightblade can have more of the NB powers and can permacloak, which is a great resource that defines the build. The Stam does high weapon damage, cloak is used in a different way and very limited, and many of the NB powers are kinda wasted in the stam build, so they are like two differnt classess. Its nice to say, hey i'm bored of this playstyle just now, let me pick up my other one. With Veteran levels going, soon they will automatically be the same level, and thus offer greater flexibility and fun in game.

Originally I was looking for the ultimate NB (when I satrted the game) I created lots of differnt types and levelled them... I deleted a few but I became attached to the four I have left. And they are built differntly. My Imperial stam is more tanky, my low level Khajiit is fun and I use to play with friends in Blackwater who do not have Vet characters, My High Elf does the most magic damage, but my Vampire Nightblade is my favorite, also magicka... he is built to be a Vampire before anything else, with a few NB abilities to add to the personality. They each offer a very differnt playstyle. I couldn't delete any of them.

Not a big fan of the Veteran levels going, but will go with the community consensus... but one thing I think is great is that in no time you can have another end level character. having a variety of end level characters all with the same champion rank offers flexibility, and from time to time you may wish to play differently... so you never get bored! Works for me anyway ;)

MacCait I know the workarounds of the vr removal XD. I have 2 v16,1 v1 and 1 v6. Im beyond the cp cap too. But still,I dont feel like managing more chars. Its a pain in the ass to wear them all each update etc..not my style. With 1 of each class is more than enough for me.

What's execution range though, 5k health? If your Light Attack -> Surprise Attack combo doesn't hit that hard then you need to rework your build.

Depends if you wanne PvP or PvE. As I am mostly a PvEer I would never ever change my magicka NB into a stamina build. Mag NBs are still far from bad in PvP though.

As a magicka NB I am able to play as a full tank, full DD and a healer by just switching gear and skill bars in PvE. No further changes for CPs, attributes, morphs etc. are needed. In addition I think that max dps scores of around 30k single target dps (depends on encounter) are still pretty good and competitive

Switching gear and skills from tank to full DD at the Planar Inhibitor -> priceless.
Being a selfhealing / grouphealing, movement buffed ranged DD in PvE -> awesome.

Not for boss fights in PvE. Anyway Impale hits harder than Killer Blade at the moment... not to mention the range difference. With the current changes KB may be slightly stronger but that's hardly a turning point from mag to stam.

You got a good point there but I am taking into consideration the entire HP range from glass cannons to health stacking emperors.

To each their own but using up a skill slot solely for what, 10% of players (obviously just guesstimated but seeing as most players have <25k health and wear light or medium armour it seems fair) at 25% health seems a waste to me.

That's actually going to solely on my PvP dueling and PvE bars.

I will stick with mag then. I find it more versatile and Im more used to magblade than stamblade.
Talking about dung bosses...what rotations do you usually use for single target final bosses? Just curious cause I think I need to improve a bit in that case.

For a normal boss fight in PvE - where you don't have to save ultis for special events or for protection (Veil) - I would start like that:

Get your 20% spell damage buff by either potion or Sap Essence (depends on if you are able to stay mostly in semi melee range the whole time or it might be less risky to do not). For a NB DD there will be no slot left for Structured Entropy. Best method is to drink pots on cooldown. To cover the whole cd time for the effect you need to skill Medicinal Use.

Merciless Resolve -> Shooting Star (you already have the master race for mag NBs so use this ulti) -> Crippling Grasp -> Elemental Blockade -> Funnel Health (weave with staff attacks 4 times until Assassin's Will will pop up) -> fire Assassin's Will -> (rebuff) Merciless Resolve -> Crippling Grasp etc. (repeat)

    Use your ulti on cooldown.
Use Impale at 25% Boss health.

Really good players don't just weave Funnel Health (main spam dps skill), they weave with more or even all skills. 30k+ dps is well possible in boss fights where you don't have to move much and where you are able to dps the whole time (Bogdan for example) and - important - where you get support from healer/tank by Warhorn and maybe a small passive class buff here and there.
