vICP and vWGT

@ZOS
I recently heard that you were planning to further decrease the difficulty of Imperial City Prison and White Gold Tower. If I heard wrong, good. If not, I believe you should seriously reconsider this decision. Right now, the difficulty of these dungeons is reasonable. I believe ESO needs content that is difficult, that not all players can accomplish without working hard at it.
Why?
1. It keeps interest in the game. Believe me, I want ESO to succeed, and to succeed ESO needs to have content that keeps players coming back to try different things to accomplish a goal. If the goal is too easy, people accomplish it, and once they accomplish everything they get bored and stop playing. If the content is difficult, they are forced to try new things, new characters, new builds, run with new players or new guilds. It keeps them coming back to try again another day.
2. It's a real accomplishment when they complete it. You have a list of achievements that people earn. Some of them are funny. Some of them really mean something. Don't take that away from those people working on them. If you make it easier, they will never know if they could have really done it working together. They just have a meaningless achievement that everyone else also has. Right now it is, "I beat vICP!" "Nice!" If you change it, it'll be, "I beat vICP!" "You and everyone else, buddy."
3. The truth is that they aren't too hard right now. I run them both regularly, and I am not the best player out there. I can't even get to Round 3 in Veteran Maelstrom Arena, but I can do those dungeons. In fact I prefer the aspect of working as a team to playing on my own in vMA. If you make them easier, why should I even bother? Why should a lot of people who are either working on completing them or working on the achievements or trying to get better bother?

Notice that there is something in the game that I cannot accomplish, Veteran Maelstrom Arena. Notice also that I'm not complaining about it. If I want to do it, I will learn strategies, practice, get better, and eventually do it. If you take away the harder parts of the game, you diminish it for everyone. You take away what they could have accomplished and taken joy in.

If you want to add more easy content, please do it. There are a lot of dungeons that need a veteran mode, and they do not have to be super hard when they come out. Do that, but don't take away the enticing parts of your game.

Sincerely,
Levi

Agreed we should just let power creep better armor/weapons handle players completing difficult content.

I've tried to start a thread about this and possible alternatives as well, feel free to comment there if you like.
Tl;dr is I absolutely agree with you, but some people both in the playerbase and ZOS headquarters evidently don't :(

vICP and vWGT should not be nerfed. Don't really care if vCoA is, because it is cake already. I completed vWGT scaled to v16 the other day on my baby v1 Magicka DK DPS, with a v3 sorcerer tank (a SORCERER tank). Cmon ZoS.

I hate the argument that it is impossible for new players to get a group. You know what I did when IC came out? Made a group with other good players who wanted to complete vICP and vWGT. We practiced and practiced and practiced, and beat it very quick. None of us were above 350 CP at the time, and we did it in v14 gear mostly. Got our no death vWGT on like the 3rd or 4th week of IC. Contrary to the opinions of some (bad) players on here, you don't need full gold v16 gear and 501 CP to complete this. Players that whine that no experienced players take them in a group just want to be carried. When IC came out, nobody was experienced. Yet people completed, and a lot of them... imagine that.

Basically, if you need experience at these dungeons, get some. Apparently there are tons of players looking for a group that need practice. Get some with them instead of looking for a carry. If you don't want to figure out mechanics as you practice (understandable), find a guide on YouTube, or ask a good guildie. If your build sucks, find the best player you can of your class, and ask for advice. Upon getting a new toon to v16 the first thing I do is find the best player I can that plays the build I want to do, and ask them for advice. Unfortunately it seems like a lot of players don't want to hear it. When I try to give advice to a sorc hardcasting crystal frags and using the storm atronach advice, all I get is a "STFU i know how to play my build!"

    Yes. Save WGT and ICP.

Unfortunately Zos and its top developers has had a "vision" problem.

Early on the punished more casual to moderate groups by having only 36 res in a trial. They fixed that and now even have normal and get modes for the new trial. Took 2 years.

Also, think about the original GF. They touted the GF prior to launch but it turned out to be more at a level of a high school intern project (sorry high school level programmers).

Now they want to nerf the best and only decent end game 4 man content we have with a DLC that doesn't seem to be bringing us anything new (hope to be proven wrong on the content).

    So sad.
