How many motifs do you have?

I was proud to be able to say "I have every motif" before the thieves guild patch, and after spending 1.5 million, I can now say again that I have "every motif in the game, period"

I literally spent 1.5 million buying 90 motifs a few nights ago (15 per style, 6 styles)

How many do you have? I'm curious how many people truly have them all.

I'm on Xbox, na.
Can craft 9 trait heavy, 8 trait medium and light.

Hit me with your stats!

...damn, that's a lot of gold to blow on motifs XD I don't think I've ever had that much haha. I have every single motif except the 3 Alliances ones. I mostly farm them, though RNG gods hate me so I did have to buy some in the end. Need to farm Sewers for Alliances ones too... :(

Also have 9 traits everything :) I'm on PC though so I had more time to research that all lol.

I have all the base game ones, a couple mercenary. I don't spend gold on Motifs, if I happen to get them then I'll use it on my crafter otherwise it's not a big deal. Most of the new ones I get either come out of chests in Cyrodiil or from the Undaunted keys.

I used to work hard to get all the motifs, whether that meant farming them, or making gold to buy them. I wanted to be 100% in crafting. But a few things have changed my perception of whether it is worth pursuing. First, zos started with chapters/pages instead of books, making it more of a grind to get motifs. Second, there are now so many motifs to chase. I think they are more of a crown marketing ploy than a crafting feature. The grind encourages players to buy the book from crown store. Each style requires it's own style mat, which drives sales of mimic stones, and ESO+ for the upcoming crafting bags. I do in fact have most of the new motifs except AD and EP styles, because most of my time, I play DC. I work towards finding or buying them, but I guess the only reason is I'm something of a completionist. I will likely never craft many of the styles, for myself or others. And the alliance style mats are too expensive....10k AP for the 3 newest, and 50k AP for Akaviri FOR EACH PIECE. That's outrageous IMO. I also have no plans to get the Akaviri motif because it is way too expensive at over 4 million AP for the complete set. That amount is more than any other motif by leaps and bounds. I know it's supposed to be an AP sink, but if there was an equivalent gold sink, players would be fuming.

All I need is half of Akaviri now. It sucks that it's only purchasable with AP and I don't PvP much and their prices in regular market, for gold, are ridiculously high.

I would welcome a gold sink for a motif similar to akaviri. Make it special and expensive to help the crafters make money. You want it... PAY FOR IT!

I bought akavari from guild stores. If I saw someone selling 1-2 pieces, I shot them a message through smart glass (again, on Xbox) and see if they would buy others for me. I offered a girl who was selling two pieces, I asked if she would buy me a few pieces, and she was very hesitant. Then I said, I'll give you 190k for the two pieces (chests and legs) and she quickly agreed lol.

My point is, I asked some people selling them and made a few friends who later I realize are some of the top pvp players (obviously with that amount of ap) and are nice to see sometimes and know they helped me out. I spent around a million on akavari alone. All gold, no ap.

As to other replies, yes it is a ton of items to search for and track down in guild stores. And I totally agree on some items being pushed towards the crown store. But I will say I've bought them all for gold. Glass was super expensive when it first dropped. Again I chased it down and paid. But it's nice to rock sets early, it drives crafting business also.

And expensive! I had 1.7 million and ended with 150k. But I had finally beat maelstrom arena after a week of figuring it out and was celebrating. It gives me "another carrot to chase" as I call it when dark brother hood drops. And in the mean time I'll be looking to market my abilities lol ;)

Keep up the replies! I like to see who has what. Congrats to the reply that had them all! Buy akavari with gold or ap?

I can tell you after this nasty little change to the Outlaw sword style, I won't be early adopting, farming, buying or crafting any new motifs.

How they handled that roll out for people who specifically farmed, crafted, bought, or sold that style is one of biggest loads of horse *** I've seen in a long time.

Still waiting in my support ticket response to see if I'm even going to be around come DB.

My crafty crafter guy has all the basic motifs.
All the single book purple motifs (primal, daedric, etc...).
All of the dwemer chapters (found them all!).
    Imperial motif (found it!).
Xyvkin book (bought it from crown store :( )
One glass chapter (really don't care about glass)
Gifted teh Soul Shriven motif by ZOS (thanks!)
A handful of Outlaw, Mercenary & Ebonheart Pact chapters.

I really really want to complete the Ebonheart Pact motif set... I only have Belts, Boots, Bows, Daggers & Staves.. but those Cyrodiil treasure maps are so hard to come by & it's not a guarranteed drop. The last 3 Cyro treasure maps did not drop Pact motif chapters for me... so sad.

I have 8 traits researched in all light, medium, heavy armours, all staves & all metal weapons & shields. I have nirnhoned reasearched for a few weapons & heavy armour pieces.

My second character has eight of the nine races, cause I didn't bother getting Wood Elf.

My third only knows Khajiit atm...

I have the Daedric Motif in the bank for later.

I have all of the motives, save for Akaviri... I don't like to PVP and the prices for them are too much to buy from other players right now.

    Congrats!

I've only completed the original motifs from launch and the Covenant motif through IC farming. I probably could have finished glass but I sold all my fragments instead of using them.

Actually, I've never found an Imperial motif, but my crafter is an Imperial so that isn't a problem.

I have all. I farmed most of Outlaw and AD alliance style. Soul Shriven dropped six times from mail. Others i bought. EP and DC cost less than 200k, Malacath 250k and Trinimac 600k.

I tend to farm motifs after patch, keeping new ones and selling away duplicates. When the prices fall but stores are still filled, i buy out all the remaining sets. I sold a little golden mats to compensate.

I have also started to hesitate with the motifs. Not because of the grind, but because they were so poor quality. Alliance styles are FUBAR, outright deforming, light/medium/heavy do not match at all and are full of errors. Trinimac and Malacath have also some quality issues.

    Nine traits on everything.
