Wouldn't it be a good idea if the devs added a custom skill tree? It would be this list (like a "favorites" list) inside the "Skills" menu where you would add all the skills you wanted from every skill tree. The purpose? Well some or at least most of us are always switching skills when we go to a dungeon, go pvping or do regular questing.

If we had this we wouldn't need to go skill surfing among the enormous skill trees. We would just go to the "Favorites" skill list and select the skills from there and Presto! I think it would be a time saver for those who change skills frequently depending on the activity there participating in.

EDIT: It can be either a "favorites" list or Loadout. The point is that we don't have to scroll to mages guild to slot meteor go back to storm calling to slot liquid lighting and scroll back down to undaunted to slot proxy detonation. The idea is to make something like this:

FAVORITE SKILLS
Crystal Shards
Encase
Veloucious Curse
Bound Aegis
Daedric Minefield
Mage's Wrath
Elemental Ring
Force Crush
**************
**************
**************

Or a more convenient loadout list where you would create various bars and save them
Custom loadout1
Custom Loadout2

This is possible with addons on PC but it should definitely be a feature in the stand alone game, considering they limit us to having 10+2 skill keys so obviously we're going to have to switch skills around for different content.

The devs can't balance what is already in game. Don't think letting players selectively choose which skills, from all the skill trees, they want would bid well for either PvP or PvE.

I know, playing on PC has way too many perks. I play on PS4 so yeah add ons are out of the question for me. Having that option in the game would be great though that, more skill bars or both...

OP worded it wrong. he means custom bar setups so you can switch setup smoother with less hassle.
which btw i consider cheating since if you drop combat (in pvp ofc) and switch almost instantly to a bar setup you know will speed kill the enemy in seconds, many already run a swap bar called "dead vampire" and well... it consists of everything needed to insta burst a vampire down.

Unless the said vampire bursts you down by the time.

It's not cheating, you can switch skills anytime so long as you're not in combat. This would just make it easier. You would not have to go through the skills list looking for a particular skill to slot. You would simply just select it from that custom list.

It does need to be added, I played other MMO's with fewer abilities where they allow you to save up to 10 different memorized layouts that can be changed with the push of a button.

I agree. Skill loadouts should be added to the game. I made a topic about it a few months back. Would be very helpful for Xbox One/PS4 where there's no external tools.

Spell crafting it's a whole other story. What I'm suggesting it's just like a "favorites" list where you add all the skill you mostly switch to, be it by layout or list. Just like you have a "favorites" option on your internet browser so you can save the sites you mostly visit.

Nice idea, but no one would use the standard skill trees anymore :)

An open skill system would be more along the lines of a true elder scrolls game though

I think the OP is talking about a function to automatically swap to saved skill bars within your own class.

Or basically an in-game version of Wykkyd's Outfitter.

As a console peasant, so much yes. Put it in the menus with no hot keys and disable it during combat. My heal bar is oh so different in dungeons to soloing.

Can you say "Morrowind"? I wish they had kept that and added it to ESO. You could make your own class and even name it, with skills from any of the offered sets.Combat,Weapon,armor,etc.
