Stamina Nightblade build help

I recently started building my stamina nightblade and have a few questions.

1) Should I dual wield or go two handed? Or do both and get rid of the bow?

2) Referring back to 1, if two handed, wrecking blow or surprise attack?

3) I don't like to do dungeons so what armor sets would you suggest running. (Love to be in PvP areas)

4) Attribute point distribution?? 40 stamina, 20 health, 4 magicka???

5) Should I be a werewolf or vampire? or neither?

I appreciate any and all advice given. Thank you for helping.

For PvP, 2h and Dual wield is pretty common, or 2h+Bow, or 2h+SnS.
Pretty much, 2h is mandatory for PvP as a stam build because of Rally alone.
WB, Critical rush, Executioner, Rally and whatever else you want as the 5th skill and ultimate. If you're using Mark Target at all, Surprise attack service no functional purpose because you'll already have Major Fracture and WB is a better CC cause it doesn't require stealth to pull of.

@Silver_Strider Thank you for the advice. That helps answer a lot of my questions about a stamina nightblade.

2H and either Bow (single target or range) or DW (multiple targets)

    You'll want to use
    - Ambush (or Crit Rush if you have Maelstrom 2H) for gap closer
    - Surprise Attack as main DPS
    - Executioner/Reverse Slice as your execute if you feel that you need it
    - Rally
    - Mass Hysteria for CC
    - Cloak for evasion and guaranteed crit
    - Vigor

Everything else is situational and personal preference.

I was thinking my abilities would be set up as follows:

    Front bar - 2H
    Wrecking Blow
    Executioner
    Mass Hysteria
    Ambush
    Rally

    Back bar - Bow
    Siphoning attacks
    shadowy disguise
    poison injection
    shuffle
    resolving vigor

Don't use wrecking blow as a nightblade, against any player that has half a brain will be able to counter it. Use surprise attack, not using it would neglect one of the reasons why stam nb is so good. You can fit in two surprise attacks in the same time it takes to hit one wrecking blow. Plus, the cc on wrecking blow is useless because fear will be giving you a much better form of cc anyway, you don't need both.

I'd swap WB or Executioner for Suprise Attack, the defile and resistance it gives is great.

Try swapping Siphoning Attacks for Relentless Focus and see how your sustain is as the Stam recovery and damage are useful. If you need more then bring it back in.

    So how about this then....

    Front bar - 2H
    Surprise Attack
    Executioner
    Mass Hysteria
    Ambush
    Rally

    Back bar - Bow
    Relentless Focus
    shadowy disguise
    poison injection
    shuffle
    resolving vigor

Should shadowy disguise and surprise attack be on the same bar??

Depends on what you are using Shadowy with. Are you that guy that likes to flash cloak, and wack your opponent in melee range? Or do you like to sit on the top of a keep, Snipe and cloak to avoid damage?

Both options are very good with whatever you decide to go with.

@Takes-No-Prisoner I want to flash cloak and get into melee range... I don't want to sit back with this character. I want this character to be a "get in there and get the job done quickly" build.

Keep it on your melee bar then. It'll work really well with close encounters and mid-range combat. Putting heavy armor on will also buff the Shadow Barrier passive duration on your toon if you felt like your guy needs more protection. Might want to science that later on.

My 2 cents, if you're still leveling this character, is level Sword and Shield, Dual Wield, Bow, and of course 2 Handed. Get at least 1 skill unlocked and let it sit on one of your bars and use Quest reward EXP to level the skill, which will level the skill line. This way when your toon guy is all grown up and you decide to make a change, boom! All of your tools are right there, unlocked and ready to go if you wanted to switch up.

In that case try swapping Mass Hysteria and Cloak around, if you feel that you need MH on your 2H bar then remove Executioner and add in something like Siphoning Attacks (resource management), Shadowy Image (for teleports), Immovable (added resistance), Rapid Manouvre (speed which is handy just before cloaking) or Magelight (Empower).

Personally I don't use Exectioner/Reverse Slice anymore in PvP because health pools are so low that the minimal added damage is negated by freeing up the slot for some more utility.

Dude, Surprise Attack is arguably the best single target attack in the game. If you only use it for Fracture and CC from stealth then it's time to let your NB gain some dust.

Used the following for a long, long time with pretty good results:

2H ambush, mass hysteria, surprise attack, resolving vigor, rally, soul harvest
Bow lethal arrow, poison injection, razor caltrops, relentless focus, double take, flawless dawnbreaker

You can work shadowy disguise in if you would like, but I prefer using invisibility potions if I need a quick get away.

For PvE I swap lethal arrow with arrow barrage, caltrops with bombard, and mass hysteria with killer's blade for an execute. Occasionally will change ultimates around for PvE as well, but usually stick with the same as for PvP.

You are taking my words out of context.
I said if you are using Mark Target and WB together, you gain the exact same benefits as using Surprise attack. I understand that WB can be easily avoided but honestly, there are still a lot of players that mess up against it and 1 hit is all you need with it to practically finish off anyone nowadays. Surprise attack is a good cheap spammable that does good, if not better, damage when coupled with light attacks but there is a reason so many people complain about WB spam vs Surprise attack spam and that's the CC that's always available from WB.

I use killers blade for my execute. I can hit 9-11k with it even though it does "magic" damage which is stupid but does the trick for me on my dual wield bar. DW = killers blade, flying blade, Camo hunter, ambush, surprise attack and flawless daw breaker. Bow = resolving vigor, shuffle, cloak, lethal arrow, relentless focus and soul tether.

Ok I think I'll try out the following...

    Two-Handed Bar
    Mass Hysteria
    Shadowy Disguise
    Surprise Attack
    Ambush
    Rally
Ult - Flawless Dawnbreaker or Ice Comet or Soul Harvest

    Bow Bar
    Relentless Focus
    Razor Caltrops
    Poison Injection
    Resolving Vigor
    Double Take
Ult - Flawless Dawnbreaker or Ice Comet or Soul Harvest

    Thanks for your input everyone... @KenCleanAirSystem @Sunburnt_Penguin @Takes-No-Prisoner @BurritoESO @mrdankles @Silver_Strider
