Old redguard light "Armor"? (Update: Image links)

First of all, everybody needs to know that light "armor" as it is called is not really an armor at all, it is comfortable cloth preferred by mages and such.

To the point, ever after they destroyed (Yes i word my disgust here) the old redguard armor, i have had zero desire using that style, there are big problems with their real armors as well but i mostly want the old cloth "armor" back.

i dont care to take any point on the revealing starter robes (they werent that revealing) but mostly on higher level layered silk robes that i used to want from beginning.

In any case, which one is better in your mind, the redguards old light "armour" or the New light "armour"?

I sure would like to have motif for the old styles.

Old light robes, i think this is about vr1 maybe?

These few links give some idea of old ones. I admit that some of the new ones do look fancy... But they dont look right and not for my liking as redguard armor.

New ones you can easily see in the game. One fort example is thatjust create character, redguard and select veteran armor. More images can easily be found out by googling

Old light "qarmour" was better.

Even with my assumption and low amount of people voting, i am surprised that none has voted against old "Armour".

Guess i am not alone with my taste of light clothing for magy folks

Sadly i find it extremely distant option that they will revert the one we have now to old one BUT i dont think a racial motif containing all the old armours would be too much to ask. They could sell it on Crown store (Even while i dislike the thing) for sdame worth than the rare motif and give it a drop chance equal to imperial motif so one could also get in in game?

Actually light armor can be protective. Many armors in the medieval time periods were made of padded cotton. If you look at most of the light armor styles, you will see that some are indeed nothing more than robes, but many of them are fitted with metal or leather breastplates and/or padded.

I'd imagine this is more of what they wanted for Redguard light armor.

I'd rather have a Motif for Yokudan. The Martial Knowledge set looks fantastic.

Guess more than just me liked em, most of Redguard equipment was my favorite with Nord equipmenrt before they changed it.

The best in game ever was that veteran robe that one could see on the character creatioin back then when you selected veteran armour.

i also had quite a nice set of medium and light armour on my Redguard male, looked very impressive with bare chest and all that stuff one could expect on areas and countries like their home turf.

New light "armour" is better.

The new armor is much better on females... it looks like an elegant evening gown instead of mummy bandages. The old Redguard light armor was fug!

Problem here is, that they are not supposed to be evening gowns but useful clothing for adventurers . Old ones had that happening way better than new ones... Plus for my eye, they are far from elegant evening gown but i am happy you like them anyways

I'm pretty new to the game so I'm not all that familiar with the old Reguard armor designs.

Then I checked online and wow... I'm wondering why they changed it :O The old one looks so much better!

I found some pics online that shocked me. Purposely making Redguard (and Orc?) styles look terrible after they were already perfect.

I have played many games and worn many armours mate ( over 24 alts ) if you don't post pics I cannot give my opinion as I cannot remember that far back.

I still believe the old style looks better. I don't find the new ones elegant at all. The female light looks like a woman wearing a gigantic baby bib. It's hideous. At least the older style had a unique look.

I wish they would give us an "old redguard" motif in the store or something.

While the texture of the new Redguard light is far better than the old they completely negated that by making the style itself so darn boring you could just die of it. Oh my, in my travels, i have noticed that females look odd somehow all around Tamriel but truly? Are they really using male torso morphed to look like female now?

For example in Altmer lands, all the female characters look odd and i dont remember that in the beginning. Everything looked much more natural on their part. Other thing to fix then.

But truly, if and wwhen Motif for old redguard and orc is released.. (I really hope this happens) ...The Torso stuff should not be an issue with those as they are allready made to fit the model and while armor might be using male torso, the old armor uses the proper modeling, correct me if i am wrong.
