Is ZOS trolling Guilds now??

So, after several weeks out of the game due to some real world issues I jumped back on last night. Got straight into it and joined a guild group to heal them through the vet pledge. As soon as it was finished a couple of the other guys asked me to heal for them so I quickly hit G X to leave group - but I didn't leave group did I. There was no confirmation box, just bang out of guild. I was in TS at the time and instantly started getting peppered with why I'd left guild, a number of the guys didn't believe me and decided to test whether I was lying by hitting G X themselves, including our fearless leader.

I SWEAR when you went to leave a guild before it asked you whether you were sure? Surely this is an action that needs to be confirmed???

I have done the same thing about 3 or 4 times now. Including an old guild that I had just created. I don't remember a confirmation box popping up either.

Why would you press G? It's P for groups (P for Party I assume).

    There is a confirmation still.

You press G, press X and it says:

"Are you sure you wish to leave <guild name>? Press E to confirm or ALT to cancel.".

As of last night I can assure you there is no confirmation, or at least for some people its not happening.

P X is obviously what you hit to leave group, but if you have a momentary lapse of thinking and accidentally hit G instead of P you'll be guildless

'G' is for guilds, mate. I'm sure there's a confirmation. Otherwise, are you running add-ons that might prevent the notification screen?

Only Addon I was running is an outdated version of FTC.

Not sure about the guys, like I said couple of guild mates got booted testing whether there is a confirmation message, including the guild master

The guild master should be the last person to attempt such tests, since that would either shift the leadership to someone random the next rank down, or it would disband the guild. Neither are optimal...

I'm not saying myself or my guild are the smartest tools in the shed.....

Fortunately the lead got passed to our second in command who was also in TS - once he was able to control his laughter he restored everything to how it was

In reality, the guild leader should not be able to leave a guild without promoting someone else to lead first. This would solve an issue of a guildmaster accidentally leaving their own guild.

I love you so much for how beautifully you mangled that cliche right now.

My sister and I got a bit of a giggle, certainly. :)

I'm glad everything eventually turned out, OP. But it does look like an issue that should be investigated. Have you filed a bug report in game with the /bug command?
