A few threads have been made nitpicking at certain aspects of the News so I've decided to make one thread, a poll even, about all of it!

All in all it sounds pretty typical, but I must admit I am a tad disappointed the new Skill Line is all Passives... I guess Dual Wielders and Nightblades get to feel special indefinitely eh? :p Still I suppose the Gold Coast will be interesting. Looking forward to what kind of new craftable sets we get though I guess lol

- Vet Ranks are leaving. Bye Bye Vet Ranks! You will be missed... by some.
- Weapon Poison is coming! My main's main craft is Alchemy so... >:)
- Nameplates eh? I'll possibly enjoy it when I see it lol
- Console players no longer have to use their Gamer Tags. I know much of the playerbase has been looking forward to this one :p
- Careless deconstructers get their wish: Item Locking is coming! Now they get to be even more careless lol
- Something called vote-to-kick is coming to Group Finder. Probably a solution, or band-aid fix possibly, to people that have been complaining about getting kicked from their group. What works works though am I right? Least now those that get kicked know it was a group decision and not group leader abuse lol
- Not gonna lie, did not expect the additional character slots so soon. Looks like I'll be making an EP and DC alt soon, assuming and hoping we get at least or up to 2 new slots with our purchase or purchases.
- Crafting Bags are coming! Rejoice subscribers for I may have to join you soon lol (not rejoice because of me of course, unless you want to :p )
- Item Trait changes eh? Should be interesting... Will Zenimax improve some Traits or muck them up? Find out... soon...
- More Cyrodiil Lag Fixes, woohoo! Let's just hope they aren't trumped by the DLC lol
- Sanctum Ophidia scaling and difficulties and whatnot. Interesting to those that find it so.
- Changes to Fighter's Guild and Vampires? Veeeeery suspicious... or exciting! You decide :p

    On paper, it's a really nice one.

    Now...
    • The removal of Veteran Ranks
    • Poison-Making, for those who want to be especially nasty to their enemies
    • Improvements and adjustments to Item Traits
    • Ongoing Cyrodiil performance improvements
    • Balance improvements to combat and gameplay abilities including the Fighters Guild skill line, Vampires and stamina abilities

    All of these, while very nice to read that Zos is instead listening, they CAN screw up pretty hard. Balance isn't their strong point, as is performance / network issues solving.

    The VR removal was the main reason hat my play time on ESO has been drastically reduced. Even though it will be buggy as hell when the change first comes in, I still intend on experiencing ESO without VRs as soon as the patch is in.

    But things like nameplates, crafting locks and poison crafting were all pleasant surprises.

    Well the Poison has the most potential to mess things up because it's brand new to the game, but the rest is changes to existing content which is no doubt based on feedback. I'm actually willing to bet the changes to FG involve Hunter and Rearming Trap lol

    We just need a plain old fashioned discussion Imo. Sometimes too many and too detailed poll responses are detrimental. At least I can't find an option that fits for me.

    I generally covered as much as I could but discussion can be as open as you want it to be, provided it remains civil of course.

    Option 1 basically means you have no problems whatsoever and love it.
    Option 2 means you like it but see a few things are off.
    Option 3 means you see a lot of things are off but are not entirely put off by it.
    Option 4 means you see so much wrong with it you wouldn't touch it with a 39 1/2 foot pole. It's also a play on that thread people made saying that "DB might be Zenimax's last chance" lol
    Option 5 means you won't know for sure how you feel until you try it when it goes live.

    Personally I'd fear more for potential Skill Point loss from Vet Rank removal. Hopefully we don't... That's anywhere from 1-15 points gone since VR1 is hit upon reaching Lv50.

    I've no insider information or actual information.

    But I doubt they will do the conversion with anyone losing skill points in the deal.

    Disappointed. Doesn't even sound up to par with orsinium which at least had a solo trial. Without a new group instanced dungeon or trial it may mot home much worthy content. It would have to be some favuouls quests and story line to be decent.

    The most important thing I have heard about the Fighters Guild is Flawless Dawn bringer having magical damage. My money is on it and a few other Ultimates will be swapped to physical damage if they already have the stamina vibe to them.


    For stamina users I just hope to get another stam heal other then Vigor. Its hard to grind out assault levels when your server doesnt have a lot of pvp going on when you are not at work.

    I seriously doubt any character loses anything in VR removal. 6nothing they have ever said even implied that at all.

    Not a fan of most poll options.

    Whatever happened to simple A B C D F for grading without extraneous wording to make you sound fanboy or curmudgeon?

    one thing i noticed among the stuff I really liked and the surprising stuff was... how many of the gameplay items were stuff I saw asked for on these very forums.

    makes me wonder about all those "ZOS ignores its playbase" threads?

    I am very much looking forward to this DLC and while I expect to like a lot of its content and changes a lot, I realize there will likely be some stuff I dont like.

    i also understand that ESO is a living game and some of my current setups may need to change and adapt to that living game. So, I wont be yelling on forums about how they nerfed my most recent de jour if that occurs but instead take it as an opportunity to suss out a new de jour for a new environment and that is fun for me.

    But new character slots... already thinking.

    There will always be complains, I guess. To me that looks like they listened to what we want and try to cater to it. So this is a step in the right direction IMO. The video does unfortunately not show much, I would have loved to see what the gold coast will look like - well, I know it quite well from Oblivion, but I would want to compare.

    Edit: I was a bit surprised about the comment of that NPC "no one is safe in Tamriel, especially not from us" - is that a hint about something we don't know about it yet and which will come as a surprise?- Why did he say "no one", does that include us players as well?

    This would require to you being the listener - in skyrim that was easy, you were it basically right away, but not so in Oblivion. I really doubt we will start as listener this time.

    I thought the introduction of kill cams or kill moves in the trailer was kind of cool. From the description this is another single player DLC. That bugs a lot of my friends I play with.

    The video was far too short. I want more.

    None of the poll choices really work for me, so I went with the closest one but it is not accurate. It is a step in the right direction, but there is so much more that needs to be added to the game. I was a beta tester for the game. The delay in things like housing and appearance change have already caused a loss of players in the RP community. The problems with balance and the performance issues in Cyrodil have cost the PVP community. Yes, changes are coming, but it might be too late. Whether or not people return is unknown at this time. There are other games and more coming out. I am going to stick with ESO as I didn't come here because of the MMO part. I am an Elder Scrolls fan. I will be here until they turn off the server. But I am hoping for at least another 10 years for the game.

    I am excited for the DLC. I want the vet ranks gone. I need the crafting bags. I want to claim the districts. I love quests. I love the idea of the inventory lock so I don't accidentally decon the monster shoulders again. More character slots sounds great to the RPer in me. Stamina balance and improvements to Cyrodil sounds great to the PVPer that claims my evenings.

    Eh... it's almost everything we wanted for DB... Don't screw this up like TG, IC, and wrothgar.

    Find new an exciting ways... lol

    Suggestions:

    Every time you sprint you character decreases in relative size by 0.1% and the affect is cumulative.
    Instead of WB noises a Crying baby is heard every time the sword is swung.
    Instead of Zoning into AD base and automatically dying, Make us spawn in as siege.
    Instead of missing textures this dlc, ADD more textures where they don't belong. like a tree of faces or other extremities!
    The jesus beams are now all replaced with rainbows and spawn flowers.
    Spawning into any major city will now cause reverse gravity and you will fall into the sky endlessly.
    Bosses in MOL and VMA will now reset automatically after reaching 0% health.
    Everyone has a 5% chance to spawn a daedroth helper upon light and heavy attack. (should make pvp entertaining for a day.)
    All CC's are now regaurded as Soft CC's and will no longer trigger a immunity period.

    I reeeeeaaaaaalllllllyyyyyyy want this to be as awesome as it looks on paper. Especially with all teh changes that they could be doing. But with out knowing exactly what they are changing or adding to the game it's hard to get overly excited with the current track record of past DLC's.

    I think ZOS is doing a great job and trying their best to get every thing fixed and added for everyone so we can all be happy and enjoy playing the game. But we need to realize at the same time that they are going to add/fix things that affects the majority of the players first. Unforenatly that means PVP tends to get over looked. Which is sad but true.

    I just hope we can choose to destroy the Dark Brotherhood, just like we could in the previous games. Or at the very least provide the lawful players more content than just a trial.
