How does the Spell Scar quest work?

Have a question about the craglorn quest, every time I attempt it I end up with an arrow pointing to nothing. Like it appears over someone's head and then no one is there.

I also see it's a repeatable quest. Any info or links are appreciated! One of the final quests I have in craglorn to finish.

There should be an annoying woman following you. Keep running around or relogging and she might show up. I wish I had your issue, I can't seem to get her to go away. Remember that to do the quest you need to be in a group of 4.

Has to be a group of 4? Maybe that's part of the problem. I've attempted it multiple times solo.

I've completed nearly all quests in craglorn and only needed 4 people twice. Are you sure this is necessary for this quest?

Three players need to collect the elemental essences, one (separate) player needs to activate the staff, or the big shard in the middle.

Oh, I was having the same problem. I activated one shard and when I killed the others there was nothing to click on.

It does require a 4 man group. Once you get the quest (impossible to avoid), move around the central area to collect an essence from each of the types of atronachs. Look for the bluish glowing spires, kill the mob, and there should be a marker on the spire. Each marker needs to be collected by a different group member. Once you have them all, proceed to the center of Spellscar and find quest giver. She will open the center. The rest of the quest is very linear. Easy quest at higher levels. Only bad thing is doing the quest does not get rid of the annoying quest giver every time you approach Spellscar, since this is a daily quest.
