What to do with rare fish?

I searched for this but couldn't find anything. I started fishing some recently and have built up maybe 10 rare fish (some greens and a few blues). Can you filet these? How? If not, I guess just sell them?

Maybe one day when we get player housing we'll be able to mount these on wall as trophies, though it's a fair way away and not worth the bank space on the offchance fish trophies will happen

Just sell them

I also hope all those stolen items we get to sell at a fence will one day work as 3D models in our player homes, by laundering them at the fence instead.

Some really funny item descriptions there, they'd make great housing items to decorate with once made into a 3D model.

For sure. Having houses and being able to display your trophies, trinkets and pictures would be awesome. Being able to display trophies in a trophy room seems almost mandatory. Why give you an item if you can only sell it and not display it? I've sold all my trophies so far, so I hope that if that happens, they give them back! Can have no gold value, I just want to show em off.

Being able to display trinkets would create a whole new market too.

Yep. I have this fish on my 4 mains* and it has never been sold.


Note, there is a trick to getting that fish and if you do it, you can catch it in 1 to 6 casts. Two of my characters got it on the first cast, one took 3 and one took 6.

It would bring in loads more activity to the ingame gold market, which definitely needs a boost right now as far as interesting objects to trade goes.

I really hope they are intending to make 3D models out of all those items (rare fish we can make into wall mounted trophies/laundered stolen items and also make new drops from dungeons so people can show off their hard work in their homes, in 3D)...I'm sure they have loads of things they could put together already

Anyway, the housing system is going to be awesome.
